i have written a rec for this fic before but having reread what i wrote and the fic itself, i find that i may have been guilty of doing a disservice to the author.
at this point, i can without a shred of a doubt say, there isn't one author who was able to captivate, fascinate and enthrall me with the exploration of Regina's magic as this author had done.
in every sense of the word, you feel the enormity of her power.
i am also glad the author decided to touch on the fact that in her many years as a ruler, she would likely have earned loyal subjects. it was not far from possible. case and point, Claude. we all remember how. in the show, the Queen knew her subject's first name. we also know that does not always happen.
can i also point out the many times she schooled Snow? :)
the only sad thing about this fic really, is that it has yet to be updated.
i do hope the author continues with this fic. its potential for epicness is definitely within reach.
