Have you heard Red Baraat?
Have you checked out Brooklyn born band Red Baraat? The group, created by dhol player Sunny Jain, fuses the North Indian bhangra with elements of hip-hop, jazz, and punk. I’m only now seeing their Tiny Desk Concert, and am so glad that I came across it. The beat of the dhol, the blasts from the horns, and their booming voices left me mesmerized. Red Baraat’s passion for music is evident, and their joyous energy radiates on screen.
My favorite song in the video was “Se Hace Camino,” which starts at 11:32 :)
Definitely check them out if you haven’t already!
