I wanted to doodle and ended up making a Mer Haru for Mermay

I wholeheartedly blame @banmitbandit for this being created but i’m not mad she’s perfect

In case you’re curious, she’s based on a red Betta fish. She was raised in captivity and as such never developed her species fighting styles, but she’s still very protective of things she considers “hers”

I got a new Veiltail Betta Fish named Inferno, so I had to draw him. 

*note that I am not a great artist and I am still learning my way around my new tablet, so this isn’t that great or detailed*

Spicy Boy's fins have like almost doubled in length since I got him. Idk how I feel about it tbh. I mean he doesn't bite them and he has never had them rip or get fin rot but I hope they are done growing. The person I bought him from didn't say he was a rosetail or feathertail nothing like that, but damn he has some long fins. I'm gonna expect issues when he gets old tho. 😕 But for now he is my little red fairy fish. 🐠❤️

Obligatory tank upgrade photos. In a little less than a year, my boy has been through a 1-2 ish gallon tank (for the shortest time) 3 gallon tank, and now a five gallon. It’s so worth it, seeing him a lot more active and like a real little fish. Always go the extra step for your family members with fins ❤️

And Spicy is just this little flower. He is very easy going and floats around like a fairy effortlessly until he feels like doing zoomies all around his tank 😊💕
