people who are good with dog behavior, help please? /gen
it isn’t anything bad i’m just confused
i was raised in a cat household most of my life, so i don’t know that much about dogs! then my parents randomly came home with two little puppies in my late high school years (they’re doing great! this isn’t about them)
so a couple years ago i got a dog for myself because i moved out and was very anxious on my own even tho i had a roommate. she’s an older dog, she was 8 at the time of her adoption.
the thing i’m confused about is: when i pet her, she doesn’t wag her tail. is this normal?
she shows all other signs that she enjoys it, she even nudges her nose under my hand if it’s close enough to her to signal that she wants more pets!! when i walk up to her she’s wagging her tail, but as soon as my hand touches her she stops. is this normal?
here is my good girl thank you for reading her name is red bread she turns 11 this year
