Hi, Red District is now an original uhh setting, I think that's what it's called. I mentioned something about it on my cotl blog. For this occasion, I made a little redesigns of the main boys. They're not that different, because they have been already pretty unique from the original, so it's mostly some details and names
I also made a doodle with them, hee hee
Now excuse me, I gotta take a break, c u in 2 years
TW: a tiny bit suggestive, mentions of gyu wanting to eat u, nothing too descriptive, rlly short.
the cold breeze of the night is everything but merciful. you cover your arms with the fine silks you're wearing, even though the fabric doesn't warm you up.
trying to ignore your shivering, your eyes look up at the sky, the moon looks back, mockingly. she knows it too. she knows he is watching.
Gyutaro. He always comes back.
"a pretty face, a pretty body. she'll be a great meal." that's what he said to Daki. that's what he tried to convince himself of. but that smell; the fragrance you always wore was infuriatingly delicious and he could almost taste your soft skin on his tongue. he grew... attached.
the demon hated himself for it.
as an Oiran, you were used to the attention. to people staring. specially men.
you knew exactly what their gaze meant. always lust, never love.
not that you cared, of course, but it still caused a sense of discomfort when they left. when you were alone. when no one saw your beautiful face, you were nothing, you were worthless.
not to Gyutaro, though.
it started as something you considered harmless.
the balcony outside your room waited every night for you to spend your time there. it was routine, it was peaceful.
until it was not.
the sensation of being watched was scary. your eyes wandered around the streets of the district, looking for someone who's eyes may be on you. there was no one.
no one except the demon lurking in the shadows, observing your every movement. Gyutaro found your behavior amusing. he chuckled at your desperation. he was well hidden, your human eyes could never spot him from that distance.
so you gave up on searching. maybe it was your imagination.
wrong.
you didn't know why but, you felt as if you were in danger constantly, even though there were guards surrounding the House. your room. mostly to ensure you wouldn't escape, but they were there.
the time passed and it got worse. Gyutaro got bolder. he didn't watch from afar now. he liked to push, to know how paranoic you were. would you find out it was him? he told himself that, once you noticed it was him, he'll eat you. you woke up with small scratches. it was worrying but nothing too bad, right?
that was until you saw him.
he was crouching besides your bed, sniffing your kimono with eyes closed. you didn't even flinch, even though, a shiver as cold as snow went up your spine. you stopped breathing at the sight of him.
Gyutaro was so... big.
his shoulders, his arms, even if he had the thinnest waist you had ever seen. his strength could be felt even if he wasn't touching.
and after five long seconds of your life flashing before your own eyes, the demon opened his. knees went weak and you gasped, as if being as silent as possible would mean mercy from this creature.
"hah... i was wondering how long until y-you... woke up." as he looked down at you, leaning closer until his breath mingled with yours. the only thing that you could manage out your throat was a half choke, half cry, pathetic. pitiful. "look at you... so scared."
Gyutaro ran a finger down your bare thigh. He was being surprisingly gentle with your skin, admiring it. The demon was careful, he didn´t want to break you.
"your fear..." a sigh escaped him, unconscious, quickly replaced by a smile that showed every single one of his crooked teeth. "i can smell it." as he whispered on your ear. this time, you did flinch. and, feeling something neither of you could explain, you didn't try to escape, or push him away, and oh, how Gyutaro liked that.
"pretty thing, you ain't even runnin' away, are ya? should I feel flattered, hm?"
he blinked, once, twice. your eyes were wide as his hand went up, his nail traced your belly, and as ashamed as you could be, you let him.
he didn't say anything else, but his expression changed, and before you could even mutter a word he stood up, his figure looking even more intimidating than before, he was tall, he was a beast.
"I'll come back, m'kay? i promise."
"as if that was reassuring." you thought. and still, you nodded obediently.
a few nights later. you could almost hear the wind laugh at you, when you felt the demon´s breath on you shoulder.
An Au where Zenitsu and Kaigaku are blood siblings and were born and raised in the Red District until Kaigaku decided they should run away before Zenitsu reached the age to be bought for more then cleaning or playing an instrument(if Zenitsu is a woman or a just a very feminine looking with well done makeup and a kimono is up to the writer).
When they run away they run into both Gyomei and Jigoroku, who after hearing their story decided to take them in as their students(Gyomei took Kaigaku and Jigoroku took Zenitsu) but made sure the two still lived together seeing how protective Kaigaku was of his baby brother and how Zenitsu looked afraid of being separated from his brother.
The thing with Gyomei's orphans either didn't happen or it did with another character that would later take Kaigaku's place as demon.
While they both trained to be Demon Slayers, Kaigaku refused to take the test sooner and waited until Zenitsu was ready which their teachers advised them that it could be a bad idea but the two siblings said that if they had to die that they would do it together(just let them have a cute, wholesome sibling relationship) as neither would be here if it wasn't for the other.
Things follow canon but with the addition of Kaigaku in the Kamaboko Squad and that he and Zenitsu mostly fight together, until the Red District Arc.
When they heard were the mission was about, Kaigaku almost tried to kill Uzui for dragging them back to the place they run away but Zenitsu stopped them and reminded them that maybe they could save some children who were in the same situation and that there is no way anyone would recognize Zenitsu as he was known to have black hair and not blond(so yes, Kaigaku will dye his hair for this mission but what colour is up to the writer).
So they accept the mission but it is Kaigaku and Zenitsu who get them dressed to be bought since they know what the houses were looking for besides beating into Inosuke a few etiquette lessons and rules.
I would like to have Kaigaku and Zenitsu end up fighting Daki and Gyutaro(as here they would be more of a counterpart to them then Tanjiro and Nezuko), they don't need to be the winners or the demons' killers but I want ti to be shown how their backstories can be considered similar and how far they would go for their siblings.
Anything else in this Au would be up to the writer(also, if you wanna add Gyomei and Jigoroku giving their piece of mind to Uzui for taking their students to the Red District...I would enjoy to see it)
As the day darkened, so had the city around him. The edges of the city had become their own intricate maze, the streets hacked by the glare of neon lights. Laughter, whispers, shapes moving into the alleys to disappear in the backdoors.
The whole place reeked of dishonor and vice. He had taken a wrong turn and had foolishly chosen to wander unarmed. Wielding a wooden spear wasn’t exactly as useful as the twin lances that marked his legend. As unnatural as it felt, it had proven to be a nuisance. He wouldn’t find an honorable opponent he could challenge in the middle of the street, or at least, not without getting arrested.
It had been difficult to imagine a warrior without a war, a servant without a Master, a knight without a Lord. His gaze had lowered, ignoring the encroaching landscape of the red city.
It was until a feminine voice called his attention. An exuberantly dressed woman, and then another, and another, shameless women of the night surrounded him in a circle.
Darn those gods, they had sealed his strength as a servant but had assured his curse still haunted him. Lancer pressed his lips as he thought a way to dissuade them.
