The crazy, must-see spectacle in Tokyo is the Robot Restaurant (if you’re sensitive to strobe lights, you won’t make it past the lobby). It’s a flashy, over-the-top tourist trap, but worth it, b/c it’s so bad, it’s good. It’s $70 for a 90 min. show, only, don’t even bother to order the food.
