Chapter Twelve: House Party

“As if you know what she wants” - Stu Macher

The stars played hide and seek with the moon beyond the clouds from the window of Randy’s beat up Chevy impala. (Y/n) grew nervous tucking some strands of hair behind her ear, thinking–praying for some topic to emerge at the top of her noggin to say to Randy. The boy had been awfully quiet besides the brief conversation they had when he picked her up. (Y/n) thought she did a good job with the three hours she had to get ready, she even applied a little bit of makeup to enhance her eyelashes and full lips with a little shine. It was worth it in her books, the male seemed to short circuit with her appearance, she had never seen the boy so red.
So if it wasn't the way she looked, then why wasn't he speaking to her?
Maybe he's nervous too?
It was a shame really, the girl wanted him to make the first move on her like he did earlier at Blockbuster. She didn't like expressing herself first in case she got shot down, but Randy was going to keep his eyes on the road against her desires, so she had no choice.
“What movies did you bring, Ran? Any that'll make the crowd pee their pants?” It was only after (Y/n) spoke did she cringe at how sweet her voice sounded at the moment. Was this her voice when flirting? She needed to work on that.
“Huh?” The boy's eyes moved over to her then quickly went back on the road nervously, his fingers twitching on the wheel.
“The movie you brought for the party?” The girl repeats softly, “Y-you know you were asked to bring movies to entertain everyone! I know you do a good job, they rehired you at the Blockbuster for a reason, they can’t get rid of their favorite employee that easily.”
The girl felt her face grow warm. She was rambling without reason at this point. Glancing at the boy next to her, (Y/N) expected a laugh or possibly a smart retort. A frown quickly made its way onto her lips whilst witnessing the brunet male purse his lips in deep thought.
“Something wrong Randy?”
The male jumped slightly before shaking his head, “No! No! I was just…” he trailed off looking at the girl in the front seat in worry about the events from earlier that evening plaguing his mind on loop. Randy was many things, but he didn't consider himself a fool.
The male had taken Billy and Stu’s warning seriously. He'd been thinking about the past couple of days– months he was around the two males and their sudden display of attraction towards (Y/N) made him weary. Especially Billy, who was now on the police's radar for possibly being a murder suspect.
Simplicity. Simplicity is what fuels the drive for murder in the first place; Affair, money, humiliation, anger, jealousy, etc.
Hence why it shouldn’t give Billy too much reason to leave his body in a ditch on the outskirts of Woodsboro without deeper meaning. If Randy was to take things further with his crush on the way to the party it was good enough reason for him to stop breathing within the other male's grasp.
His mind was going a thousand miles per hour, the girl next to him was……entrancing. The minute (Y/n) walked out of her house the male had the urge to devote his time and soul in any way possible to her. Her hair was in silky threads that rested along her mid back, and boy did he want to find out if it was as soft as it looked. Not even mentioning her cropped t-shirt and shorts that she had worn was only the tip of the iceberg. The smell that waved through the car, had caused a problem to stir within his nether regions as well. She smelled heavenly. The best comparison Randy could compare to her was a fresh batch of cinnamon rolls from the oven, reminding him of a harsh winter within his home to soothe his nerves.
Various imagery followed after the smell. Him, coming home from a long day at work to greet her and three little snot nosed kids. Her in the kitchen baking said sweet treats while kissing his cheek in greeting. Lots, and lots, and lots of sex.
However, other than the impending threats from Billy and Stu that were holding him back a familiar face would pop up into his mind here and there. One girl who would have considered his first love. The one sided aspect that led him to look towards the girl he was friends with and grew attached to.
Randy knew how terrible it was to out her and to think about Sidney in this moment when there was a perfect girl next to him that checked off all his boxes pertaining to what he wanted in a significant other. But his mind kept on traveling back to what the girl would think if they started dating, how her expression of him would change.
Did he honestly want to even care about all of this after she still chose to go out with Billy after many warning signs that were there? Not to mention the fact Billy seemed dangerous after the police investigation, he seemed to grow more worried each day about the two girls.
If he was being honest with himself, he did start to grow more concerned for Sidney more than (Y/n). Only because within the deep recess of his soul did he believe that Billy would dare to lay a finger on (Y/n) in opposition to Sidney. Or he was coming up with an excuse to make himself feel better for having feelings for two girls at the same time.
Don't get him wrong, Randy wanted to get rid of his feelings for Sidney if it meant he could be with (Y/n). But after the confrontation in the Blockbuster this afternoon, was it really worth it?
Randy turned down another street before taking another glance at the beautiful brown skinned girl looking through the front windshield at the night sky patiently waiting for his answer. His eyes traveled down to her lips before feeling his stomach twist in knots.
“I'm worried about the party tonight.” It wasn't the full truth, but it was partly the reason.
“Oh,” (Y/n) breathed, she looked back towards the male taking in his uneasy expression, “Is it your first party as well?”
He grimaced, “You could say that, I mean who often invites Randy Meeks to these things? Often I'm invited to a small gathering or a birthday party. Not one of these parties.” To lighten up the mood he offered a small smile which she returned, “Plus too many horror movie scenarios happen at a party, specifically a house party.”
(Y/n) snorted and pushed the male lightly, “Thank you so much for easing my nerves,”
Randy laughed, “I wouldn't worry about the killer getting the both of us,” He shoved her back, “We’re both virgins we’re immune to dying-”
“Oh my god,” She wheezed.
“Come on think about it,” He insisted, “I would get killed if I wasn't a virgin and simply acted as the scholar and knew so much vital information that they would just kill me.” He turned down another road at a stop sign, “You on the other hand-”
“Let me guess,” She rolled her eyes, “The token–-”
“No!” The car jolted to a stop letting the girl let out a surprised scream at Randy's actions. It was a good thing there weren't any cars in sight for a few miles, or they possibly would've had an accident on their hands. It didn't make things any better since it was dark out, not a street light in sight so far.
“What the hell Randy?!”
“Don't you EVER say that about yourself again! Do you know how insulting that is? What you were about to say about yourself?!”
(Y/n)’s eyes widened at his tone. Was he honestly so upset at the fact she referenced herself as a Token Black character? Everyone knew it was simply something that happened a lot in hollywood horror films. It was a part of the formula that was implemented unfortunately. It was extremely rare that an African American individual would survive in a horror movie. Although based on statistics and common sense, her race was most likely to survive in those instances knowing they wouldn't walk towards danger in the first place.
It's honestly a stereotype that brings them towards death, or simply their fate of being in a horror movie in the first place.
“Randy it happens all the time-“
“Just because it happens all the time doesn’t mean you should expect it for yourself,” Randy frowned, “You could be the final girl and not even know it.”
The girl chuckled in disbelief, “The final girl, the moment I achieve that is the moment I believe anything is possible within the world.”
She quieted down for a moment, actually considering the boy's words. To be a Final girl was a multitude of things, bravery, perseverance, and most importantly survival. One thing she doesn't want to take for granted. Thinking back to the phone call from earlier, the killer was trying so desperately for her to not show up to the house party with her friends. Obviously planning to kill her or something more sinister. However there was a nagging in the back of her mind that she was missing something..something that would tilt the case on its axis.
Randy started up the car again and resumed the drive, causing the girl to remove herself from her thoughts before speaking them.
“Hey Randy?”
“Hm?”
“Have you ever thought of a reason why someone would want to kill me or Sid?” (Y/n) whispered softly, she began to pick at the hem of her shorts picking at the frayed edges. “I know I might not be the nicest person but-”
“No I honestly don't, for you at least,” Randy frowned looking down the aimless road lost in thought, “Sidney on the other hand–”
“Sid? What could Sid have done to warrant this?”
The movie fanatic smacked his lips before glowering, “Not her really, more as revenge for her mom maybe.”
(Y/n) wanted to ask what the boy ment, but upon seeing his expression, she decided against it.

“Alright, one more time to make sure we have everything settled.” Billy pointed to the paper laid out on Stus desk in his room.
Stu sat along his wooden upholstered bed staring at his partner as he continued to walk through the sequence a final time to make sure there was no confusion. Many nights in this very room were spent planning their greatest heist tonight. Even a year ago he could remember the night getting all the materials together before sneaking off late into the night on a bike rather than his car to avoid suspicion. Back then he could remember the thrill, the achievement of various killings he'd seen so often within the horror genre.
It was an hour before the party and the two boys had to make sure there were no loopholes in their plan for tonight since the other one was a flop. After all, another complication with (Y/n) being at the scene of the crime again, they were required to come up with a plan to work around this unique obstacle.
It also didn't help that the girl hung up on Stu earlier on the phone. The main priority was to have a final effort to scare (Y/n) from attending the party in the first place, however, due to thinking it was a tactic to get her home alone sent her with the next best option being with a crowd. Hence giving her further reason to attend. Honestly the boys were impressed with their Final Girl–however the last line of her ‘making out with someone’ sent them into overdrive.
It took Billy over an hour to cool Stu off. Even now he struggles to get the imagery of his girl kissing some jackass.
But right now they couldn't think about that. Tonight was the prime opportunity they had to get things right; the anniversary of Maureen Precott’s death, the night Billy and Stu successfully committed their first murder. A perfect night where revenge was achieved.
Or so Stu thought.
As Billy walked through the plans for the night Stu couldn't help but think of the many scenarios taking place in the past two incidents, the Prescott home as well as the bathroom at the school. Two times where they had failed to kill Sidney.
More importantly the fact they risked (Y/n)’s safety for revenge on the Prescott family.
Even though Stu did want his significant other to be happy in the long run and to achieve recompense for the emotional trauma he's been through, the main source of it was gone. Mareen was already buried six feet under their hands. What did Sidney and Mr. Prescott have to do with him?
He understood the whole perfect family dynamic, and wanted to destroy it just as the unfaithful wife had done to his family, but Sidney had already lost her mother and Neil his wife. What could be more damaging than that?
If anything, after the reveal from Neil’s involvement in the (L/n) case, (Y/n) had more of a reason to conduct murder than he did.
Stu felt his face growing warm, and his insides starting to boil at the thought of the grown man downstairs. His knowledge is what drove him to want to complete the plan to avenge his final girl–but what if it fails?
What if it's not truly worth it in the end?
What if he isn't satisfied?
“Stu!” Billy growled, he waved a hand in his partner’s face for good measure, “What the fuck is wrong with you? We have an hour to make sure everything's right, where is your head right now?”
Stu breathed before shaking his head, “What if this doesn't work out the way we want it to?”
Loomis paused, letting the question sink in, “What?”
“L-Lets think about this for a second, “The male murmured softly, “Maureen is already dead, the main cause of your suffering–the bitch that separated your parents in the first place. Sidney and Neil had nothing to do with it, and now we're trying to murder them just to finish off the whole family because some prick said it would be best if we did?”
Stu wandered over to the layout, looking down at the phone number of the man who first talked to Billy two years ago, providing him with a tape of his father sleeping with Maureen in the first place. Something about it was too calculated, too planned, he wanted Billy to see it of course–but why? And why help the male plan a murder so precisely without helping them get the job done as well.
What was their motive? And why hasn't Stu been given a name as two who the male was who told Billy in the first place.
Billy was smarter than this. Stu knew he was, he could see it now—a bit late but he could. There were too many holes, this plan could fail and land the two of them in jail. To never see (Y/n) again.
Stu was already starting to feel the guilt seeping in of him killing Casey, the only other female she really trusted other than Billy and himself. For her to find out who murdered her, and to find out of them doing everything that they did would crush her.
This wasn't going to end well, even with them possibly taking it to their graves.
Billy glowered at the taller male in response, “You backing out on me?”
Macher rolled his eyes, “I want you to think. Is this honestly what you want? Or is it what he wants?”
Loomise seemed to pause for a moment, exactly what his partner wanted him to do and think–however a certain halloween flashed through the male's mind erasing all sense of clarity Stu might have brought to the surface. Maybe if he had mentioned it from a different approach, asked him what (Y/n) would think if she found out what they were doing? Then maybe Billy would've thought about it a little bit more.
It would have remembered the customized candy pail the girl had made him that Hallooween night rather than the yells and screams of his parents through their bedroom door.
Yeah, if only that image of the pail came into view. Maybe he would have focused on the more important aspect in his life.
“This is what I want! I want to see that family six feet under–just like that bitch who destroyed my life! And who could possibly destroy someone else's…” Billy’s eyes were glossed over, frustration rising.
He remembered the tape from the stranger, the imagery of his father leading the married woman up the steps of the hotel before entering the room and not walking out till hours later. Remembering the day he confirmed the reason he was abandoned by his mother for an affair. Of him remembering the morning he woke up and looked around the home with no crevice of his mother in sight other than the picture lines along the house's walls. He remembered the yelling , screams, and words tossed between father and son of who was truly at fault. Apparently it was him, his mother left because she couldn't bear to love the spawn of the man who chose to lay next to married woman.
Billy called bullshit.
That women needed to learn to keep their legs closed to married men. The bitch was walking around sleeping around with men in town like some prostitute desperate to feed herself. What a fucking joke to the loving environment she had at home; a well off husband, a daughter who stays out of trouble, and a fully furnached home that anyone would love to have. But no, she wasn't satisfied, she needed the company of other men within the town to satisfy what her husband couldn't give her away on his trips.
And look where it got her.
“I'm doing this, because I want them to understand,” The boys tone was resentful, malice dripping through each octave dropped, sending chills down Stu’s spine, “I want that bitch to watch from hell as I take the very last two people she seemed to give a fuck about off this earth to stand before her and cast their jugdement. I want them to revel and shake with the understanding it was that whores fault their in this predicament in the first place!”
Billy stepped closer to Stu trapping him between the desk, “I want the whole Prescott family to lose everything just as I did. Except with their lives,” He laughed bitterly, “If that mother fucker is using me to get rid of em’ them so be it! As long as (Y/n) isn't touched or involved then I honestly dont give a fuck.”
With that Billy turns making way towards the door, he pauses for a minute before looking back at Stu, his eyes holding something that couldn't be picked up from a distance.
“I love you both. Please remember that, after tonight, no more killing just the three of us.” He paused for a beat before leaving making way down the hall then down the stairs.
Stu let go of the breath he was holding, his form shook lightly-chills running up and down his spine. Two emotions mingled together in the most unruly of ways; fear and lust.
Although he loved his partner one thing was abundantly clear.
He couldn't tell him what Maureen and Neil Prescott had done that night.

Dewy’s Jeep Cherokee makes its way down the long winding road, the headlights illuminating the thick forest lining along each side. The sun had set a while ago after the girls had gotten ready at the Riley home. The girls and male stayed daily silent for the most part, enjoying the old school radio for they were still tense for the day as well as a brief disagreement between Mrs Riley and Tatum. Dewey could still see the disappointment on his mothers face when confronting his little sister. Sure he didn't agree with anything she did, however it didn't mean the scolding was needed to rub salt into the wound.
It was just a blessing within itself that the woman let them outside of the home.
Stu Macher's house stood within all its glory in the clearing. Sometimes Sidney couldn't get over how big and grand the house looked within the clearing with no neighbors for a few miles. It was nice and secluded with a two story, old and rustic holding history that she knew would hold great value in the future if sold. Now she could see a few cars lined along the street with a couple of rowdy teens entering and exiting the premises. It was packed with students, some already seemed to be pregaming along the lawn based on the laughter and wild antics.
Dewey stopped behind the bushes, making sure the girls wouldn't get too embarrassed of them getting out of the car in case anyone recognized him from being on the school premises that morning.
“Alright, you girls have fun,” Dewey smiled, “Not too much fun or I’ll bust ya.” The joke came off flat as he took in the two girls' expressions. Of course it's not as funny when you have your older brother as a cop and he literally had sirens on top of his vehicle ready to be lit up.
Sidney giggled nonetheless, and let out a soft ‘bye’ in thanks for dropping them off.
“Bye Sid.” Something twisted in his gut as he watched his sister run inside without saying goodbye. An off feeling settling within his gut, instead of dwelling on it, he opted for this feeling as him being hungry or out of place.
Entering into the home, Tatum and Sid made their way through the crowds of teens drinking and dancing. Several of them shout greetings as they display their spoils for the party. Making way past the living room the stereo blares along with the TV of the news talking about the killings happening the past few days.
Making way into the kitchen, Tatum put on her best award winning smile, “Caterre’s here!” She hoisted up the display of items. The smile faltered seeing her ‘boyfriend’ Stu, holding up a funnel for the guys to drink beer from. It was obvious he was trying to be a good host but she couldn't help but let the comment slip from her lips, “Very Mature.”
Stu glazed over locking eyes with the strawberry blonde before looking back to the brunette, “Where you guys been? We had to start without you?”
Tatum frowned, sitting the snacks on the counter, “Uh a bit of a mishap, but we're here, that's the most important thing.” She turned back to him trying again with one of her smiles, trying to ease her worries for the night. Her mothers words were itching at the back of her head about everything, and as a stubborn girl in love she refused to listen. Her mother’s situations in the past did not equate to hers. It didn't have to. “Did we miss anything?”
Joshua, who was leaning on the other side of the counter supporting his other drunk lineback Nathan shook his head, “Other than half of our team getting wasted with this damn beer funnel— Not much,” He led his teammate over to one of the chairs to sit him down. “All we were missing was the snack and entertainment.”
Marcus, a familiar face in one of (Y/n)’s classes, next in line for the funnel snorted, “As if watching those two chicks going topless in the backyard wasn't entertainment, I dunno what is?”
Sidney looked back into the living room and frowned, “Speaking of entertainment, where's Randy? Isn't he the one providing the movies for tonight?” At the invitation of the party earlier that evening Stu had mentioned Randy bringing the movies to provide entertainment. She really went there for all the drinking and crazy fanatics, more or so to get her mind off the fact Cotton Weary was on trial, and the fact a killer was still at large trying to murder her.
The sheer mention of the male's name and his whereabouts set Stu on edge, not only was the girl late but Meeks was as well. Randy was supposed to provide the movies but was supposed to pick up (Y/n) as well. He and Billy specifically said no detours. And that's what he better not have taken. It wasn't like the two of them to be late in the slightest, the male had better have a good excuse as to why.
Joshua turned back to Stu with a cocked eyebrow, “Didn't you say Meeks was picking up (Y/n) earlier?”
The question seemed to make the males in the kitchen whoop and holler, causing Sidney to immediately frown. She already knew where this was going. And by the look of Stu’s face he wasn't in the mood.
“Guess Meeks getting lucky tonight, never knew he had it in em’!”
“Can you blame him? (Y/n) has been a riot this whole week! Did you not see her Wednesday? I swear I saw a cheek peakin’ underneath-”
“You talkin’ about her ass? Did you not see her tits? I could fit my whole hand-”
The last boy, Carter, Sidney thinks his name was, didn't get to finish, Stu had him held against the nearest cabinet, face flushed red in anger. The two girls audibly gasped, they had never seen the male so angry before.
“Finish that sentence-I dare you. You'll get thrown out on the lawn faster than getting kicked off the team your sophomore year.” Stu promised.
Carter shook for a minute underneath the male's stare, but tried to hold a brave face. “Oh come on! You're going to get mad at us for talking that same way you did with that blonde bitch you were dating?” He leaned his head closer in a challenge, a smirk emerging on his lips finding the situation comical. “You know she won't give you a chance now. You might as well let one of us get the job done, I’ll do you a favor and let you know how good she was-”
A punch was thrown, a crack was heard and the kitchen grew silent in comparison to the exciting atmosphere in the other rooms. The beer funnel long forgotten along with the others in the room, Stu went to grab for the male he just punched enraged only for Marcus to get in the way.
“Wait! Hold on! Chill man, he's got the idea!” Marcus held his hands up in surrender, “Lets just calm down-”
“Get him home.” Stu said coldly.
Marcus nodded rapidly, picking up his friend the best he could before rushing out of the kitchen.
The room was still for a moment before the male glanced over to the other males making snide comments about his girl earlier. They all shifted on their feet before slowly deciding to disperse from the kitchen, all except Josh. Who seems to have a disappointed look on his features.
“What?” Stu bit out, going to the fridge to get another drink.
The darker skinned male shook his head in disappointment, “You know (Y/n) would have not approved of what you just did, just now.” After growing up beside each other for so long, Joshua had seen Billy and Stu come and go from the (L/N) residence. Of course he had played and conversed with them before and knew how strong their bonds once were, and after reading the paper this morning he knew how deeply their feelings ran with one another.
Joshua took a look over at Tatum who seemed frozen in place, no doubt running the scenario several times in her head as to what her alleged boyfriend had just done. He didn't like the girl, and neither did his girlfriend Autumn. So honestly what was he to care if Stu just dumped the girl right now.
She lost his sympathy the moment she showed her behind to the whole school this morning. Where the hell was (Y/Ny/n)’s apology for everything she put her through? Matter a fact Casey’s for fucking her boyfriend?
Joshua had to admit, girls were a lot more dangerous and cunning than they led others to believe. He didn't want to get on any of their bad slides.
Stu took a long swig of his drink for the first time that night, and glared at him, “As if you know what she wants,” He looked back down at the sink, sulking his shoulders a bit, so subtle if you where watching you wouldn't have noticed, “Sometimes I don't even know nowadays..”
Sidney frowned, watching the unhealthy display in front of her. She was pretty sure this was the first time she was seeing Stu, decomposed. And judging by Tatum's reaction, it was her first time as well. Just what was going on through the male's head?
Just as she was about to say something, voices from the entrance cut her off.
“Your Blockbuster certified horror freaks have arrived!”
Stu’s head shot up at the sound of (Y/n)’s voice, his eyes gleaming with unshared emotion.
Randy was the first one recognized into the living room, teens crowding around him as he smiled holding the films by the bags before placing them by the tv to be sorted through later. They could hear the many questions on what films the Blockbuster Employee had brought them, and by the look of his smirk they could tell he reserved the rest for the party.
Then they all saw her.
Walking through the corridor was (Y/n) taking the male's breath away. Stu could count on his hand the amount of times (Y/n) silk pressed her hair and it wasn't many. The first thing he noticed was how it rested along her mid back, how soft it looked and bouncy. Next was the clothes she was wearing, a cropped loose old sports tee along with cute short shorts, with mid calf socks with her sneakers. Her lips were plump and had shimmery lip gloss. And from the looks of her he knew she had to have smelled good from how the other males in the room hovered over her.
Vanilla extract with light dabs of shea butter.
Her signature. Even when Stu wasn't around he could still smell it. The fragrance ingrained into his very being.
Stu felt like his mind was spinning; love, lust, and obsession was clouding his senses within the mere moment of her appearance. She would choose tonight to tease him some more, did his warning as a killer not strike something within her? Fear for her life?
His eyes darkened momentarily as he watched her bend down to grab one of the tapes from the bags, lifting what seemed to be Friday The 13th. The guy from earlier was right no matter how much he wanted to deny it; she had a nice ass. Her thighs complimented her nicely as well, not to mention the way her hair moved in each direction her hair went.
A little halo of silky threads that should be laid across his pillow upstairs as he pounds himself into her.
Why? Why did she choose tonight to torment him? He was losing focus on the plan already, and if Billy sees her–he might not have as much restraint as he does at the current moment.
Never has his Final Girl made him so….vulnerable before.
“Stu–”
(Y/n) turned her head in his direction, seeming to smile at him, his heart started to thump louder. Maybe hope isn't lost after all, maybe he could steer away from the party for a few minutes and indulge in her precise and genuinely apologize for everything the past few months. He would do anything for her attention to be on him again–to simply utter her name utter her sweet soft lips–
“Stu!”
The said boy snapped his head to the side, being met with a red faced strawberry blonde girl. He clenched his teeth together and regained his bearings, trying his hardest to ignore the giggles and laughs of his precious (Y/n) in the second room. He had forgotten that Tatums and Sidney had never left the kitchen, and were simply watching him the whole time.
Another giggle from the mouth he wanted to smash his against emerged from the living room. If he didn't know any better it would be best not to draw anymore attention to himself than he already has, the last thing he wanted the blonde to do was address the problem beginning to spring down his nether regions.
Pushing his thoughts away he zeroed back in for a distraction before the plan.
“Yeah?”
“Would you mind helping out with the food and drinks? Me and Sid aren't doing all the work,” Riley huffed gesturing towards the bags in the kitchen. Slowly approaching, she placed a hand on the male's arm trying to angle him from the entrance to the living room, away from the girl's line of sight, “Maybe that would give you enough time to…cool down. We don't want our host to be bent out of sorts now do we?”
Stu thought about it for a moment before tossing on another persona to play host once more, “Yeah no problem.”
