The endlers were starting to gather in the mass of Java fern and Christmas moss. They like to spend the night here.

And wow! I only just noticed how pink the red root floaters have gotten! How pretty~

I love this red root floater. The pop of read is so astounding and the roots are short and thick. Speaking of roots, I did not anticipate how long the frogbits would get. I just pulled a few bunches and accidentally tore up the substrate because they’re burrowed in. I like the contrast frogbit has with all the other floating plants, so I’m trying to trim the roots on a few bunches and see how it does.

Now with 14 beckford’s red pencil fish, 7 pygmy cory cats, one chocolate whiptail cat, and a pair of macmasteri dwarf cichlids (+ one guppy i cant catch, oi). Also added some red root floater, which has lil white flowers awwwww... Everyone is still baby, but there’s pencil fish sparing and cichlid flirting happening already. I expected the cichlids to get a bit bigger before they matured, but the female is already putting on some bulk so maybe not. Can’t wait to see how it all fills in!
