Red Ryder
ok i do think its so cute that Max keeps calling Hanger Seabiscuit. However. And I understand that i am probably the only person that cares about this. Seabiscuit was a (very famous) racehorse. Hangman is a cowboy. Two very different riding disciplines. Pick a western horse, Max. I do respect you for skipping over Secretariat (arguably the most famous race horse of all time) in favour of Seabiscuit though, it does suit Hanger better.
Unfortunately I do recognize that most famous wastern horses I could offer instead (Trigger, Silver, Black Jack) might not be recognized by most fans, so I suppose I can allow the cross-discipline nicknaming. Admittedly, race names do have more pizzazz to them as well.
But come on, doesn't Trigger remind you a bit of Hangman?
Wild Bill Elliott as Red Ryder (1944)
Heard about FinalFinal project, caved in: his name’s Red Ryder and he’s a restless traveling journalist with his mobile house of a 60s Jeep Wagoneer, thus making him a visitor of the Neighborhood. His motif revolves around memory via photographs and rarely sleeps because he doesn’t want to have dreams/nightmares of “another world.” In cold weather, he wears a jacket that bears a striking resemblance to the Field Fatigues cosmetic from TF2 and carries a camera that looks like a Polaroid Model 20 “Swinger.” His species is similar to a Fraggle (Fraggle Rock) because I like those critters.
Red’s segments in the show are styled as “location of the day”: living outside of the Neighborhood, he’d show viewers where he goes through a camcorder he owns (it’s strictly in footage format) and the locations appear very similar to real life countries and states around the world, which is ironic to his avoidance of sleep. When those segments end, Red goes back “home” to his jeep and he does mention having a house a couple times, but it’s never revealed in the show.
