Red Warbler (Cardellina rubra)

Range: resident (elevational migrant); endemic to Mexican highlands, with three disjunct populations- one spanning the majority of Durango and into some adjacent states, one cutting from Jalisco to Veracruz, and another in Guerrero and Oaxaca.
Habitat: pine-oak, pine, and fir forests, though in nonbreeding season it can be found in oak-dominated forests as well.
Pink-headed Warbler (Cardellina versicolor)

Range: resident (non-migratory); found in a small section of Chiapas in Mexico and the Guatemalan highlands
Habitat: pine-oak and montane evergreen forests, with a preference for the edges and secondary vegetation.
