Interesting aspect about my poor internal communication compared to other parts is that I end up being more open to parts' emotions/thoughts than parts with better communication.
There are parts who get upset on behalf of other parts that ends up accidentally dismissing their feelings (eg, "you shouldn't feel xyz because I know why you feel like that and--") where I tend to approach it more in the sense of it not being my business to tell parts how to feel/think. The general protectiveness I as a whole tend to have when another person I care about is harmed doesn't get activated for me. It's not personal. Or, well, cognitively yes it is personal but conflicting/""incorrect"" feelings and thoughts are not something I take personally.
