i was happy with her - well. i have barely actually Been Happy in a decade, but what happiness was to be found, she was a crucial component of it for so long. and i still love her so much and surely, surely this can't be it, it can't be over, we were supposed to get old together. how am i supposed to keep going alone, without my best friend?

without either of my best friends. because oh yeah, [redacted] hasn't spoken to me in months, not even to wish me a happy birthday or to say "i'm so sorry to hear about the divorce, i hope you're hanging in there" or anything. and the two of them are still hanging out as if i'm solely and singularly responsible for everything going wrong! as if i haven't tried so hard to mend things, make things feel normal again between us! please. i just want my friend back. i've given up all dreams of anything more.

i'm just so desperately hopeless. everything's falling apart & twisted up inside, and it hurts so, so much. and meanwhile there's roofers to organize, and medical care to keep up on, and food to prepare (and oh yeah i just got metabolic panel blood test results and i'm pre-diabetic! and do i have energy to deal with that? i fucking wish!!), and house cleaning and painting and straightening and dusting and fucking PACKING to do.
