The boy in red giggles happily when he saw his older counterpart. Grinning, Baby Mario waves at the plumber.

Now, if most cases, this scenario merely occurring in the first place would boggle the greatest minds in theoretical physics and possibly create a reality-rupturing time paradox.

This? This was the Mushroom Kingdom. This kinda thing was commonplace.

“Aww, hey, it’s’a me~!” Mario grins, zipping over and fluidly slinging his younger self up and onto his shoulder. “Good to see ya, little guy~!”

The boy in red grins at his new friend. He gives the koopa a wave.

“Oh, hello again little guy! Any reason you’re here, if you mind me asking why?”

What was a kid this young doing here? This was a horror attraction, not a day care. “Where’s your parents?” he asked, trying not to be too scary as he came to him.

The boy in red tilts his head curiously as he waves at the koopa.

The small koopa stared at the younger kid. Something about the red hat and red…everything seemed familiar. But this little guy couldn’t be that certain plumber, right? He’s far too young. Maybe he was a fan?

Either way, the koopa’s shyness overcame him, as Iggy gave the boy a small wave.

“Uh…..Hi….What’s your name? You remind me of someone, you both look the same…”
