The “In” Crowd – Ramsey Lewis
Ramsey Lewis is a jazz pianist who started his career in the fifties and is still performing today at 85 years of age. Given the times we live in, he is selling tickets to live streamed concerts.
His 1965 album The “In” Crowd won a Grammy Award for “Best Jazz Performance – Small Group”, and went gold. The single of the title track was nominated for “Record of the Year”.
The song The “In” Crowd was written by Billy Page, for Dobie Gray, and The Mamas and the Papas also covered the song on their 1965 debut album If You Can Believe Your Eyes and Ears.
