Since the majority of stars ✨ in our Milky Way are stable red dwarfs that exhibit periodic bursts of ultraviolet UV flares, if life did evolve around these star systems, it would most likely have evolved to shield itself from this energetic light. . On Earth 🌍 , some marine organisms exhibit biofluorescence by using pigments to convert UV into less energetic red and green light. . Thus, could it be possible that evolved life on planets around distant red dwarfs (if it did indeed evolve) could glow on Earth? . Recent findings by scientists at Cornell University suggest that if we were to to travel to these distant planets with life, we may find indeed find fluorescent creatures on its surface. . 👇Link to science article: https://academic.oup.com/mnras/article/488/4/4530/5545464 . 👇Visit our blog: www.lucasciences.blog .
