So our Lil family adopted an abandoned water Red Ear Turtle not too long ago, and at first I wasn't so sure, even tho the kids loved him but we have our fish so i wasn't sure I could pull it off having double tank action and all. So i did with what I could till yesterday evening😁 and now our Mr. Turtle Dude is super happy and content. Still a work in the making with adding his basking area for him to come up on, but he's loving the free range swim he has where as he didn't before cause he was left to die😡😭 and I'm kinda thankful and looking forward to this new lol addition to the fam😍😍🤗 #AdoptedOurMrTurtleDude #WaterTurtles #RedEarTurtle #Thankful #SoundsLikeAnAquariumUpInHere 😂 #MyKidsLoveThem

It is calming to have early morning coffee by our turtle pond and seeing these beautiful red-eared terrapins bask in the morning sun. They share their home with several livebearer fishes like the red swordtails and several hybrids of Mollies (White, Black and Dalmatian) that cleans after them. Recently, I tried adding Kohaku Swordtails (Koi Swordtails) and after almost a month now, they have been thriving, hopeful for some offsprings soon. My next plan is to add Showa Swordtails as well (Tri-colored) to add variety (and color) to this seemingly peaceful little man-made ecosystem we keep. #🐢 #redearturtle #redearslider #terrapin #turtle (at The Mondejar Studio)
