@beauxwilliamsx
February's challenge has come and gone and now it's time for some real fun!
February's challenge is now over and only two of you did it without needing an extension! Kudos to you Beau ( @beauxwilliamsx ) & Declan ( @declanxmitchell ) You two proved to be more than just bone head surfers, I guess miracles do happen!
Though just because both of you did it on time, does not mean both of you won. That being said, the winner was Beau!
Beau ( @beauxwilliamsx ), the choice is now yours. You may claim the protection and privilege of staying in the Mayor's Mansion for the remainder of February, however, doing so requires a sacrifies, you let your own secret come to light and let Red Edge judge you for who you really are. Or, you may forgo protection and choose anyone else in Red Edge to be blasted onto our local news. Should you make that choice, you'll be left to manage the fallout, so choose wisely.
You have 24 hours to message the Mayor’s Office with your decision. If you fail to do so, I will make the choice for you—and I assure you, my decisions are rarely kind.
Declan ( @declanxmitchell ) if we didn't go with Beau, we would have went with you. Your heart to heart with Mr. Ortiz really hit home with us, however, it just seemed not that genuine. At least, not as geunie as Beau's was.
And finally, to those who found slacked off and was the reason we had to haev an extension Alexa ( @whitealexxa ) and Brooke ( @brookexbarlow ) Don't let it happen again. My generosity only runs so deep.
I hope the rest of you do better in April. Red Edge is not kind to those who confuse restraint with mercy

Open Heart, Closed Mouth - Hope Island District
"Open heart, closed mouth, no damn clue what that really means." Declan said to himself with a chuckle and ran a hand through his hair. He yawned and rubbed his eyes. He had just dropped Gracie off at school and decided to head out and take a walk around Hope Island, to see if he could run into someone he could possibly open up to.
"Who can I spill my heart out to? I mean, besides Marisol, Beau, Tyler, Logan or even Atlas?" He asked himself. "I have to know more people than just them and my parents and Gracie....."
He stopped walking and tried to think about who he could talk to, and what he could talk to them about. "Fuck, I am so fucked."
Running a hand through his hair, Declan closed his eyes and exhaled. He was about to give up and give it a day, but when he heard his name be called by a voice he knew all too well, he spun around and smiled at the person who called his name.
"Mr. Ortiz, hey there!" He said and walked up to him. "How have you been? It has been like, what, a year, maybe two, since I last saw you? Let's catch up and I can tell you a few things. Nothing bad, I promise. Not this time."
He walked over to a bench with the older gentleman and sat down with him. "So, I just really wanted to talk to you about the woman I've been seeing, her name is Marisol and she is honestly the light of my life. I love her so much and I am so blessed I met her."
"You always told me that I'd one day meet someone besides that crazy ass ex, who would make me feel good and I did. I honestly think that Marisol is the one, I am planning on hopefully being engaged to her by the end of the year." He admitted and rubbed the back of his neck.
"Thank you for letting me talk." He said after he had finished talking to him and stood up. "See you around town, Mr. Ortiz."

Open Heart, Closed Mouth Challenge - Wave's End District
"I have no damn clue what this challenge is even really supposed to be, but whatever." Beau muttered to himself as he walked through the Wave's End district. He wasn't even sure what the challenge meant by "Open Heart, Closed Mouth" but he wasn't going to push it. The last thing he needed was a target on his back. Seeing someone that was close to him, he walked up to them and smiled. "Hey, Mrs. G, long time no see." He said and rubbed the back of his neck. "Do you uh, mind if we talk?" He knew he could trust the older woman, she had always been there for him when he wass younger and had helped him through a few tough times.
When she agreed to talk to him, he sat down next to her and smiled. "Do you remember when I was fifteen and told you I wanted to be a pro surfer? I was so damn afraid that you were going to laugh at me, like everyone else, but you didn't and that made me feel like I could chase my dreams."
"So thank you, Mrs. G, you, next to my parents, are the reason I have been able to follow my dreams and that I have been so blessed to live the life that I do have." He smiled at her and hugged her. Letting go after a few minutes, he smiled again.
"You know that I did dedicate one of my awards to you, right?" He asked. "Thank you again, I really hope you know that I won't be able to ever stop thanking you for helping me change my life and making sure I can chase my dreams."

To the Residents of Red Edge,
We will not overcomplicate this.
From February 2nd through February 9th, four representatives will step forward for what I will call The Disclosure.
This is not a trial. It is an invitation.
The representatives are:
Falcon Haven: Alexandra White @whitealexxa Hope Island: Declan Mitchell @declanxmitchell Pirate’s Cove: Brooke Barlow @brookexbarlow Wave’s End: Beau Williams @beauxwilliamsx
Beginning February 2nd, each representative is expected to engage in one meaningful interaction within Red Edge. This may take the form of a conversation, a confession, a confrontation, or a moment of intimacy—public or private.
There is no script. There is only leverage.
You may speak. You may listen. You may be tempted to reveal more than intended.
From February 2nd through the 8th, the town is free to respond as it chooses. Support, curiosity, speculation, and interference are all permitted. In February, attention has a way of sharpening pressure.
On February 9th, I will determine who maintained control of their narrative—and who allowed emotion to guide the exchange.
One representative will be rewarded with influence over a developing narrative involving another district.
The others will not be punished. They will simply be known.
And in Red Edge, what is known has a habit of traveling.
Do not guard your hearts too carefully. That is rarely where the damage is done.
