I just recently finished watching ATLA again, and this concept was too fun to pass up.

That being said, this composition was an experimental nightmare. Much trial. Very error. Wow.

But I learned a lot! :)

Morning, someone order angst? No? Okay, I’ll just leave this here…

This is a scene from one of my fanfictions “Brothers” (not posted anywhere yet cause she ain’t done yet) The premise takes place before the Echo arc in TCW S7, so Clone Force 99 are still frat boys. Cross and Hunter have a spat before a mission, but then it goes haywire. What comes next? Brotherly bonding through adversity - we love that :)

The X-Batch

Their enhanced genetic mutations make them lethal in combat.

It’s October first, so naturally I had to draw the boys cosplaying as X-Men characters, because it just seemed to fit them so well. Especially Hunter as Wolverine.

This however was a pain to render (mainly because I kept zoning out and screwing up my layers 🙃) But ultimately it was a fun project…

Day I | Attraction

Ranya’s attraction to Crosshair began with the realization that he is one of the few people who understands what it’s like to carry guilt, and she warms to him because of that.

Crosshair is, at first, reluctant to help her figure things out - not exactly being one to open up emotionally himself. He even tells her right off “I’m not your therapist”. But…later, of course, being Crosshair, he finds himself warming to her as well.

This attraction is sealed when, after Crosshair finds out he’s the reason Tech was on Eriadu and perished, he is comforted by Ranya. She refuses to leave him drowning in his guilt and grief. She proves her loyalty, and loyalty means a lot to him.

These scenes are from my fanfic series “Trial by Fire”, books one and (unfinished) two. For clone x OC week, I wanted to draw moments from the trilogy that I thought best highlighted each stage of their relationship, from learning to trust as friends, to realizing they care deeply for each other on a level beyond friendship.
