Been Awhile... (1000th Post)
It was a quiet day in the EMC base, everyone was on buisness, leaving Hiromu alone in the main room. He was sitting in the break area, a cup of coffee in his hand, enjoying the quiet.
"Hmm... Been going at this for awhile eh?" He let out as he surveyed the empty room. "I was so young... Back when it all happened." Hiromu smiled. "We all were..."
"That Christmas that was ruined by Messiah, that one day that shaped the next fourteen plus years of our lives." Hiromu put his cup down. "We've grown a lot since then."
"Ryuuji, you were always the over protective older brother for us but, you learned to give us space and let us grow. Yet even then you were still there to help us when we needed you most... And look at you now, living your dream as an engineer but, still finding the time to aid us with out newest threat."
"Yoko-chan, you've grown much from the little annoying girl you once were... Still annoying but, that's just who you are and I wouldn't want that to change about you. You were the one person who I failed the most, the person who promise I couldn't keep, yet you never held that against me. Thank you for that. Though I know now you're in school and it's been hard for you but, I miss you... I would like to see you again... See that smile that always finds a way to keep me together. Man if she heard that she'd never let me hear the end of it!"
"Jin-san, you're one of the reasons why we were able to grow so much. You joke a lot and poke fun at me way too much, but I trust you. You're a genius and an important friend. Thank you for all your help and for... Saving me... I'm glad you're back! And I'm happy that this hasn't changed you. Jin-san needs to be Jin-san! Anything less would be a shame."
"J! You and Nick are more friends but, if he has accepted you as almost a brother then how can say anything against that. You're strong physically and emotionally, which is interesting for a Buddyroid egoist. Thank you for everything you've down for me and Nick, continue to protect the things you love, they need someone as strong as you."
"Nakamura-san, you've been so supportive of me. You're always so cheerful and happy, it's hard not to be the same when around you. You helped me get through some tough times and were usually the one to keep me on track. I'll never forget the soothing power of an industrial sized paper shredder... Thank you!"
"Commander, you've lead us through all this. You're intelligence and resolve has really helped us get to where we are today. I'm glad Dad has such a great friend."
"Koizumi-san, you're... And interesting addition to the group. You come from a destroyed future yet hold just a cheerful composer. Your kindness may be your strongest and weakest point all together. You're going through a lot right now and I hope I can help you get through most of it. Even if I was stupid and promised you something... This time I'll keep it! Your future will be saved and everyone you knew will get to have all the sugary treats you've come to love here."
"QueenBuster, Err... Miu! I still don't know how exactly you got that Morphin' Brace or why it was modelled after me but, you had good reason to keep it. You even showed me that you were worthy and able to use it properly, I'm glad we got along in the end and that me being a jerk didn't drive you away. Especially that one time Nick got me in trouble... Thanks for cleaning that up!"
"Mikoto Nakadai... You're a jerk who wastes my time playing stupid games and talking non-sense. You're often fixated more on your fun then what other people feel... Or at least that's what you put off. You're not someone I'd say, I like but, I don't hate you. You are an important alley if I wanna agree with that or not. To hopefully working well together in the future."
"Messiah! You're the one who has caused so much pain and suffering... Yet now, in this time, there is hope for you... At least in Koizumi-san's eyes. She has told me of your separating or melt-down. I don't understand it and I don't exactly like it but, if there really is a good part of you, some where. Then I will find a way to welcome it. Somehow..."
"And finally, my best friend, Nick! You, out of everyone, has been there for everything. You've protected me when I was young and you've helped me grow into the adult I am now. Your sense of direction may be garbage but, your timing is golden. Thank you for putting up with me for all these years and hopefully many years to come. I couldn't have done anything with you... Aibou!"
Hiromu drank down the last of his coffee and did a small stretch. "What to do today?" Before he could think the alarm went off. "Vaglass!?" He sighed. "Well I guess that answered my question." The young spy hopped up to his feet and headed for a shooter hatch ready to face what ever today had brought onto his lap, knowing that his friends and family will be there to support him.
