hi! i have a question and I'm hoping you can help me. I'm in college, and I've been trying to lose weight. I'm currently 5 foot 5, and i'm 168 pounds. I tried doing insanity in august, but it didn't work because I wasn't eating right. So now I only eat a good protein filled breakfast, lunch and dinner. lots of spinach, fruits, veggies. I work out 4 times a week, sometimes 5. I do running, yoga and tabata. i'm not losing any weight, and I seem to be gaining. is there any tips you can give me? :)
I tried doing insanity this summer as well and let me tell you that what you eat is CRUCIAL. You need to give your body the right food so your body can replenish itself and restore energy. You are burning alot of calories and working those muscles strenuously so eating healthy is key; with a few cheat days if necessary. BUT I AM IN THE SAME POSITION AS YOU. I feel as after Christmas break I have gained some weight that I am not pleased with so here are a few key things that I have tried and are starting to work for me ....
Change up your workout routine. Do cardio some days and lift weights the other days ! If you do not like going to the gym, there are PLENTY of online videos and youtube channels that offer amazing workouts, I use them all the time ! I even incorporate them into the fitness classes I teach at my University.
ALSO, YOU ARE PROBABLY GAINING MUSCLE. If you are working out and eating healthier then do not be discouraged, it's muscle hiding under there I promise.
Lastly, what helps me is keeping a food journal. It works wonders.
Other than this I have run out of things to say but inbox me if you need anymore suggestions, hope this helps baby girl xxx
