The trailer finally came out, and i'm more than happy to see Hiroyuki Sanada as Scorpion. His voice and armor are just perfect!
Not spoiling or anything, but someone mentioned on reddit that Cole Young is possibly related to Scorpion, and the trailer hinted that as well. Others said he's actually Kuai Liang and the name is just a playword or something - god i hope it's not him. And there are others who said he's Johnny Cage before fame, which if it's true, then his backstory got a hell of a rework.
Personally, from the trailer, i'm speculating Cole Young has a dormant power, and that i hope he's actually some important side character from the franchise. Possibly before MK9 or MKX. Possibly someone who is either: a) has been 'dormant' for years only to wake up again, or b) has been running away from a certain clan of not-ninja.

Aaahhh whoever he is, i'm up to see Jax's arms getting ripped off, Subby bringing ice age, and Scorpy losing his family all over again 😌
