the first and most vital member of any space crew: the ship! which is also some guy. Its name is pronounced like "pilot". i also standardized my lil modified alphabet of the 36th millennia in the margins while pondering other drawings.

Long ago Pilate had some other crew but that was ages ago and for a time afterward it simply drifted alone in the void of space with it's thoughts and some unshakable guilt. Eventually, by happenstance, it met a being more timeless and strange then itself and they began to travel together in mutual exile. The being, Crow, had known some unspeakable length of eons and bore a myriad of guilt and regret, much like Pilate.
They traveled together for some years or decades or centuries; hardly in the time speaking a word to one another, which was fine with both, but their moping could not continue forever. One by one they happened into a whole rogues galley of rejects and damaged souls and both have had their hearts softened immeasurably.
At present the crew has become a lively bunch of eight or nine members and with more mouths to feed they've had to take on some kind of business to keep the ship and crew fueled. Neither necessarily bounty hunters or pirates (though they may have done a bit of both), groups such as theirs are sometimes called Rogues or Fixers or Handymen etc.
Their most recent edition is Tok6: the product an illegal bioweapon project who wrought a bloody trail through the lab in which they were born. Though new to the crew (and a bit grumpy), Tok has been quickly adopted in the eyes of most of the crew. This goes doubly for Cpt. Crow, who is known to protect the clutch of eggs fate has brought her with whatever brutality is necessary.
