Will checked the clock anxiously for the umpteenth time. He couldn't concentrate and his foot was tapping at an unsteadily fast pace. Anastasia left abruptly after dinner and claimed she would be back in a hurry. But soon after many hours passed Will discovered that something wasn't right, Anastasia was never out this late and when she was it was with good reason. As the sky got darker and Will got more anxious he heard the door swing open, revealing Anastasia, at last.
"Where the bloody hell were you?" Will's voice had slight traces of anger in it, but overall he was relieved to see her back. He slowly walked toward Anastasia to get a better look at her, to his relief she appeared unharmed.
