isket Jatra is a nine days long festival celebrated at the end of Chaitra (April). If you want to enjoy one of these days, you should arrive Kathmandu on 8th April and start celebrating this festival from 9. The Bisket Jatra signifies the end of a year and the start of a new year on the Bikram Sambat calendar. Amazingly we will enter into 2079 era then. The jatra focuses on pulling chariots of two deities, the wrathful god Bhairav, and goddess Bhadrakali.
