I literally owe like, all of my sartorial knowledge (AND much of my social justice framework) to fat babes I met on livejournal over a decade ago. You don't have to mad to work here... but that's how I got started. Tongues out for Holtzmann! I adore mad scientists and Dr. Jillian Holtzmann is the best mad scientist ever. Started with that marvelous Screw U pendant I bought from ReDress, I scrambled this cosplay together at the last minute (I was literally sewing it in panels on Friday night! I luckily got some blonde hairspray from the fabulous @mogchelle and even more luckily borrowed the proton pack from my awesome friend @justicedudas ) it turned out better than great. I loved being my favorite Ghostbuster and apparently so did everyone else - I got asked for a ton of pictures and to be interviewed for a video podcast. (Link for that will be posted when it's released.) Seriously, this is the most comfortable cosplay I've ever done. Super fun! One of the rare brands with things that could be labeled as “tribal” by normal, less cool brands and they DON’T GO THERE. Phew.

And it’s gleefully happy, like turkey leggings and flowery dresses and ALL THE NEON. And almost always nothing is done in a traditional format. It’s colorful, and breaking rules, and looking so amazingly put together while doing so. ( I am giving them a skull warning for one of their leggings, but beyond that they’re shiny, happy people.)

Sadly, if you’re a size 12 like me, you’re out of luck and probably pouting, because it’s all gorgeous and totally not going to fit you. But you also get most brands to, y’know, already include you in their normal lines. Have your pout and then go look at @readytostare or almost everything else I’ve included in this blog.

Another fantastic visit to Re/Dress! Every time I go I fall in love a little bit more. Will be posting pictures later on of my amazing finds (as well as the fantastic hair and makeup) once I get everything photographed and organized, but wanted to send a huge THANK YOU to all the lovely ladies at redressluvsu!!! For the first time in years, I'm headed out for my birthday and loving my looks. Thanks, Redress, for helping a fat girl find her fashion sense. (And yes, the pictures suck, but I don't have a full length mirror or a roomie to take my picture before I head out to meet friends.)
