Hi. How are you doing? I have one theory. I know you believe that Undertaker is definitely Cedric Ross, but let's say that's proven canonically not to be the case. Let's just say. Could Undertaker be one of the people at his lockets? Especially Alex B. or Oliver A. at page 35 at chapter 35. Maybe you can find out the day of their deaths. xx

Um, well. First off, let me make this very clear to everyone: I have never in my life believed that Undertaker is named “Cedric Ross”. Ross is a last name that someone randomly came up with, and I’ve seen it a lot in headcanon posts, but I have never ascribed to the idea. Instead, I believe the last name will end up being something longer, like Rosewood. I get my idea from Ivanhoe, set in AD1194, in which Cedric of Rotherwood hates King Richard, refuses to accept the king’s coin and prefers to barter, can’t stand innovation in agriculture or other industries, (temporarily) disowns his own son for following the king, keeps a jester as a slave because he likes the jokes, schemes with Robin of Locksley (Robin Hood), and makes funeral preparations for someone who isn’t even dead. It was initially published in 1819, the year 136649 most likely tried to destroy the reaper HQ. It’s also the year Queen Victoria was born. The name “Cedric” was invented by (Sir) Walter Scott for this character.

About the lockets, we have dates for all of them, though one is a bit questionable. Out of the seven lockets, five of them appear to be male names, so I’ll limit the analysis to those five:

Oliver A. — Nov. 13, 1840

Emile C. — Jun. 18, 1848

Harry E. — Oct. 7, 1851

Alex B. — Apr. 20, 1854

Gilbert D. — Mar. 1, 1862 (or 1884/1885. The locket has different years, depending on which reference you look at.)

None of them make sense for a reaper who didn’t even escape from/desert the reaper organization until at least 1819. Probably more like 1829/30 when he finally escaped. So, Undertaker’s canon death date (as a human) must be before 1819. A long time before 1819, actually, since he had been collecting souls for a “long time” before he went rogue on the organization. Recall that he feels like it was only recently that Frances/Francis was born, and she’s in her 30’s. So, a long time to a reaper is indeed a long time. And keep in mind Undertaker is strongly suggesting that he was present at her birth.... More reason to think he’s Cedric K. Ros—, the biological father of Frances/Francis... who looks so much like him that she’s even got his little baby hairs on the nape of her neck. Lizzie has them, too.

Edward canonically takes after his mother’s appearance, and she canonically takes after Cedric’s appearance. Yana-san has made that clear in a tweet. She’s also made it clear that Frances/Francis and Vincent are full siblings.

All that said, if Undertaker somehow proves to not be Cedric K. Ros—, he’s not any of the people represented by his lockets, either.

Hi. How are you? Long time no see. I was always curious to know if there are any half-demons in the series. Have you ever heard of incubus ? If Beast didn't die, was there even a chance for her to get pregnant? It would interesting to find out that one of the characters is actually a half-demon. For example John Brown.

Hmm, it’s not certain if supernatural beings can have children with humans. There are theories that Undertaker is Vincent’s father. If that’s true then there’s at least a way for a shinigami to reproduce (because UT was already a shinigami when Vincent was born). But even then, shinigamis are closer to humans than demons because they were human themselves before. So that doesn’t mean that demons can have children with humans, too. Demons may be able to take a human’s form but otherwise they’re quite different from humans so it may not be possible for them to have children with humans.

However, we know so little about all of this. How demons are created, their true nature, how they live or if there are some other supernatural beings... These are all topics that haven’t really been explained in detail and I feel like much about that won’t ever be truly revealed if it’s not significant for the story.

There are some people in the story who I believe could be supernatural beings, like John Brown or Ran Mao. But whether they’re shinigamis, demons or some beings we haven’t encountered yet remains to be seen. Maybe we’ll learn a bit more about all this supernatural stuff then. But as for now, I don’t think there’ll be any half-demons, incubi, succubi or whatever.

I panicked in the exam, and now it seems that I failed it. I'm crushed. I should have done much better than this for I knew all the answers. I couldn't think clearly before the exam as well. I'm tired of myself.

You have no idea how much I feel you on all of the above. I’ve been beating myself up too for not performing as well as I know I could. We have to stop, though. We are not perfect. There is no such thing anyway. These assignments and exams do not reflect on us as students or people. Our grades do not tell the whole story of who we are! It’s okay not to do well, as long as you tried, and as long as you can learn from your mistakes. Strive for progress, not perfection. Now, go do something fun to get your mind off it for a little bit. Then when you think about it again, try to change your perspective: progress, not perfection.

For: petty-bocchan Author: redrosecrown Pairings/Character: Vincent Phantomhive, Undertaker, Phantomhive Twins Warnings: N/A Prompt: Undertaker babysitting the twins Author’s Notes: Princess Joanne is a fictional character. I made her up.

-If his horse didn’t poop on the Earl of Phantomhive, and if Vincent Phantomhive didn’t make a princess angry, Undertaker would never attend Phantomhive twins’ third birthday party. Undertaker felt dizzy from laughing, while untying the Earl. Vincent had to babysit Princess Joanne, but it seems that she threw a tantrum. She wanted to be the one driving the carriage. He had wanted to take her for a picnic with the twins, but before they could set foot on the carriage again, she ordered some guards to tie him up, and help her drive.

-“A tiny princess stole your carriage?” Undertaker asked smirking.

-“Daddy was pooped,” said one of the twins pointing his finger. “Daddy was pooped,” said the other.

-“At least she is safe,” said Earl Phantomhive cleaning his face with a napkin. “Even the devil couldn’t predict this. Hahahaha.”

-“I thought it waaaas a corpse lying on the ground,” said Undertaker, smirking.

-The twins used to be so shy, and they would cry for their mother or father, the moment their divine parents were five meters away from them. They were still scardey-cats, though, but it seems that the mischievous strike of their genes has finally started to show in them. Earl of Phantomhive pardoned himself so he can have a bath, and Undertaker was left alone with two three-year-old kids. Their mother was not feeling well, and the servants were busy preparing the event, and since, Vincent asked him to babysit his children, Undertaker agreed to it.

-“Ouch!” a ball of steel suddenly hit Undertaker from behind. He even surprised himself by shouting.  Little Phantomhive had hit him on his ass.

-“Oh come on, little you,” said he raising his hands in a spooky way. “I’m going to get you.”

-And, soon there were two screaming kids and a running former Shinigami after them. He finally got one of them. The other was hiding under the table.

-“Where is the oooother oneee?” said he. There was a giggling from under the golden table. “What should I dooo? Earl wiiiiill haaaaave my head.” There was another giggling. “What is this tiiiiny shoe doing under the taaaable? Don’t tell me someone ate one of them.” He picked the giggling toddler up, who had a small C on his outfit. “I got you.”

-“Read a book for us,” said the twin that had a C on his blue dress.

-“Oh my,” said Undertaker. “Which oneee should IIIII choooooose?”

-There were dozens of books for kids on the table, and Undertaker had heard about all of them, but one particular one took his interest the most. It was the “Fenian Cycle.”

-With one twin on his right side, and the other on the left side, Undertaker felt like a father reading to his own children, the story about a golden boy that could run really fast. The sun rays that shone through the windows looked like a hand trying to grasp the little bits of hope he had in him. The mirror reflected his thoughts of the past, and smirked at his attempt to get back what he once had.

-“So, he’s the fastest in the world?” said one of them, “even faster than a horse?”

-“Even faster than a horse,” said Undertaker. “Though, no matter how fast a human is, he can never outrun death,” Undertaker thought in himself. It seems that the Earl is late.

-“Let’s play with a ball, Ciel,” said one of the twins.  They ran outside leaving Undertaker alone in the saloon. “Waiiiiit for meee,” said Undertaker, breaking free from the state of deep thoughts.

-The garden of Phantomhive was always so nice. The sun was now red, and it seems that the time for the party was soon. He didn’t buy a present for them. They played for a little while, and when Undertaker managed to protect Ciel from falling on the ground, the people from the party started coming. Undertaker really didn’t want to partake in that party, especially being present-less, but now it was too late to go back.

-“It’s so nice to have you in one of our parties, Undertaker,” said the Earl, smiling kindly. “I know you avoid social events, but it’s interesting for once in a while.”

-“Yes, once in a while,” he said thoughtfully, but a scandalous event in front of him made him double in laughter. One of the kids was running, and he had accidentally pushed an elderly man into a gigantic cake. He was a philanthropist from what Undertaker knew.

-“You are faster than Finnian,” said the twins altogether. “You saved me from falling, and you were so fast.”

-“Oh, that’s noooothiiiing,” said Undertaker smirking. “Catching you was so eaaasy.”

-“Macaroons are so delicious,” said one of them. “Do you want one?”

-“Thaaaank you,” said he picking a red one.

-Undertaker was bored, but he got to win that billiards game. The evil aristocrats always had their little secret discussions. The drugs, the human trafficking, and even occult were part of their discussion, and the Earl had always a quest from his master, the Queen.

-“Read us a story,” the twins ran to him. One of them had a Grimm’s fairy-tail book on his arms.

-“Leave the adults alone,” their father insisted.

-“Don’t worry,” said Undertaker. “I’d looooove to read them the stooory.”

-There was a princess with black hair and fair complexion named Snow White, who had an evil stepmother. There were two orphaned siblings looking for shelter in a forest, and right after Cinderella had left the palace and her shoe, and the moment that the clock stroked 12, Undertaker found himself with two sleeping twins on his lap, and he was all alone in that saloon again. This saloon was always like this. That shadows of that place seem to form the shape of her body, like the ghost of her never left that place. It was the place where he fell in love with her. The ‘her,’ whose shadow never left him alone.
