Somebody Screwed Up Starters

4. Being attacked

The sight Sideswipe had pulled up on was almost horrific.

There were three of them, three grown men, and only one of Leah. And, though the woman had managed to disarm one and had a second on the ground, they were easily becoming too much for her. She had a bloody nose, a split lip, and was looking worn down. She was also unarmed. The third man had a knife, and there was blood across Leah's shirt.  

As soon as she saw the headlights, Leah made a break for the car, using all her speed to try to get there in time. But before she could even get three steps from her original spot, the man grabbed her by the shirt and tugged her back.

"Sideswipe!"
