Dearly Departed

Send me “Dearly Departed” to hear the speech my character would give at your character’s funeral after their sudden passing.

Isaac,

Your dads made me do this because they couldn’t do it themselves. Who am I to deny my brother and my friend anything? I just- I don’t really know what to say. Just know that we all love you and that will never end, even if you’re not here anymore. I remember when Dean went all apeshit on me because you wanted to go to college. He was furious and yelled at me that it was all my fault, he didn’t talk for days to me afterwards, until you and Cas were able to calm him down. He was just afraid he was gonna lose you, like he lost me for a few years.He doesn’t get that being away from each other doesn’t mean you’re losing that person. That’s just Dean, I guess. You know him as well as I do. You’ve done so many great things and I know you’ll do great things up there as well. Now I’ll stop before your dad wants to kill me for making him cry.

Opinion on;

Character in general: Isaac confuses me a lot, actually. I really don’t understand the character, and I can’t tell whether this confusion springs out of a lack of interaction on my part or a lack of clarity on that of the writer. There seems to be a lot of unexplained information/interaction with him. He seems to dip a lot into “being evil/antagonistic”, which is fine, but doesn’t suit the personality type or story described in his about. He strikes me as being a highly problematic character,How they play them: Isaac is an OC, meaning that how he’s played is how he was invented; I can’t fairly judge whether he’s played “well” or “poorly”, but to note that there a lot of unexplained grammar and spelling errors in the writing.The Mun: It’s clear the mun had a direction in which to take this character and a planned basis of interaction, but sadly, the endgame and play-off is clear only to the mun. Who and what Isaac is, what he’s supposed to stand for, what he’s doing—none of that is apparent to the reader. However, it is equally clear that the mun is using Isaac to improve their writing skills, which is an endeavor I applaud and highly encourage.

Do I:

RP with them: Not really, no.Want to RP with them: At this time? No. I want a clearer handle on things and more certainty I have something to do with them before attempting to proceed with RP. From the first interaction with Crowley I was given very little to actually work with, and it ended it a threat and a sudden drop—which is about what I expected, but really, what else am I to do with the son of enemy? Fight, torment, turn. That’s all, and that’s great, but the opening chemistry I was handed was not going to work in those terms.

What is my;

Overall Opinion: I feel Isaac could use some more developmental exercises to reach his full potential, as well as the mun’s in the craft of writing. I personally recommend looking up some old character development routines and work on keeping everything copacetic to one version of this character, writing a few timed pieces to get a feel for them under pressure, and maybe having some other people of varying degrees of experience in the craft of character creation look over what’s been for Isaac and leave some notes—confusions, things done well, things done poorly, etc. That should help to bring mun and muse to a fuller understanding of what’s going on.

Running behind on…everything. If I’m being honest, the motivation to do a lot isn’t there, although any time someone’s bold enough to ask me for a response, I get to it ASAP—usually within 24 hours of the asking, unless I’m just totally swamped.

Nurse Me

Leave a “Nurse Me” in my ask, and I’ll write a drabble about one character healing another.

Persephone was walking back to her apartment in Addlesburg when she found Isaac in front of the door.

"This is where you said you lived right?" He let out a somewhat sad laugh and Persey’s eyes grew. He was beaten and battered and she dropped what she had and grabbed his arm, "What the hell!?" She asked looking at his face and every other part of his body.

He didn’t speak, he just kind of slung over Persey’s small shoulders. Of-course I’m shorter than him! It just makes this so much more difficult! She thought to herself. She kept up until the fourth floor and she unlocked and bumped the door open. 

She put him on the couch and grabbed a blanket to wrap around him. Should I? She wondered. Her eyes started to fill up with tears. He was a friend, and she didn’t want him to go anytime soon. She sighed and decided that she should, indeed, use her Time Lady powers.

Her hands landed on the boys chest, both of them glowing, and the energy of the time dust floated into the boys wounds, making them partially go away. She let him be for a little bit and got him some soup, knowing that he’d be hungry, people normally were whenever she healed them.

She came out to him sitting up, “Good morning sunshine!” She said with a smile and the bowl, setting it on the table. She moved some hair from his face and put her hand back down, “Time Lady dust..” She said laughing, and putting up her hand, gold dust flying from it, “We all have it..”

Persephone gave him the soup and let him be, hoping that he’d get better soon.

Such a Klutz

Cristina was walking down the street, in a hurry to get home due to the cloudy weather above her. Between trying to balance herself on her high heels and replying to a text from her boss, she barely noticed she bumped into someone until she was sitting on the ground. "Oh my god, I'm such a klutz! I'm so sorry!" She apologized, picking up her belongings.
