Underworld chickens everywhereā¦Ā
"Hello? Mother?" The goddess came out of the underworld, looking around at the earth, the green grass, bright sky, and the many flower beds. A smile came across her darker face as she noticed that all of her favorite flowers were in bloom, as usual, and her mother hadn't forgotten her coming. She never did. Persephone sat down in the flower beds and started where she had left off the year before with tending them.

Let Me Take You Away ||the-spring-goddess
Hades watched the change with wide eyes. Heād never seen anyone else eat the fruit before and honestly didnāt know how to respond. It wasnāt that he found her less beautiful, if anything he found her more so. However, heād never intended to let her eat it, even if their marriage had gone of without a hitch.
Taking a deep breath, Hades moved over to her and snatched the fruit from her. One was enough, one was plenty, there may still be a way to free her, for some time at least. He still wasnāt entirely sure how this worked and would have to consult the fates about it, but letting her eat more wasnāt worth the risk. She may not think so, but Hades couldnāt help the growing worry of her coming to hate him for this over time. āI believe you, you donāt have to prove it to me anymore. I believe you,ā
"S-She'll take me away.." Persephone pleaded, the sound of the wretched wings coming to a halt, "I can't go back.. Not after I realized the lies.. I.. I think I love you, Hades.." The young goddess looked at him, her eyes saying everything that he needed.Ā I don't want to go back up.. I don't care what you think, she'll make me..Ā She sighed, looking at Hermes.
"Yes, dear?" She turned her face, the messenger god looking astonished at the sudden transformation of the sweet, young Persephone, "You're mother wishes you to return, dear Persephone.." "I understand.. May I discuss it with Hades before I leave?" "I do not see why you couldn't.. I shall tell your mother you'll be here by morn." Persephone tilted her head in thanks to her friend, and then turned back to the god of the underworld.
"May we talk?"
"Well this is quite.. Odd.." The goddess looked at her throne, noticing someone who obviously wasn't her, yet she was, "May I.. Hmm.. Help you, dear?"
The Goddess of Death looked down at her from her throne of human remains. She raised a brow as she looked the other goddess āAh yes you can tell me exactly who you are?ā
The looked up at the other with a smirk āThe only reason I would be confused is why you share my name.ā She crossed her arms and sat back. āUnless you have business with the Goddess of Death I will have to ask you to leave.ā
"Goddess of Death?" Persephone looked over at the other one, who looked quite a bit younger than her, and crossed her arms, her eyes burning red and searing into the other, "I am the queen of the underworld! I am the goddess of rebirth! I bring terror and happiness! Tell me, impostor, what do you strike into the souls of mortals other than pity?"
