Its bathtime for Luca! Hes starting to shed again
Today I went to a reptile expo. I was set to adopt a Leachie but unfortunately the breeder messaged me THE DAY BEFORE the expo claiming she escaped.. I've had this gecko on hold for months so I was devastated.. I got my deposit back and set out to find a different leachie at the expo, however it's just my luck everyone had already sold out by the time I checked. I felt empty, it sucks pumping yourself up for something, and waiting months for an animal, only to have it torn away from you last minute. But, I suppose everything happens for a reason. I have wanted a Tegu forever, but wasn't necessarily intending on getting one any time soon.. but my friend pulled me to the only booth with a tegu. A little girl who needed a WHOLE lot of love. She was serious inquiry only, and so I seriously inquired, and learned about her history (which I'll get into later) but basically her needs were not being met and she was getting attacked by another lizard she was housed with. So they decided to adopt her out. I was sold. Her name is Clementine and she is a 4 year old red argentine Tegu ♡

Last but not least for my reptiles this is Lucifer, Luca for short. He's an Argentine Red Tegu, about 9 inches long. He will get almost 4 ft long when he's done growing. I'm fostering him for my local highschool which is currently shut down due to Covid-19.
