(Red Universe) Olivia Dunham's Place - 2.45AM - Bedroom Olivia's dreaming about her child, sleeping soundly during the night. The sheets are draping round her body, up to her chin and she has a sort of dreamy smile on her face. She's dreaming about a nice place, a warm, soft, green, grassy field where she's lying and her son is a ten-year-old boy. The Sun is shining and a lovely warm breeze is whispering and caressing their skin gently. They are in summer clothes, shorts for her and a black and blue T-shirt reading "Voices From Inside" and a pair of black, knee-length shorts (bermudas)s, with two pockets on each side. Henry is in shorts and a red T-shirt with the phrase "I'm the future". Suddenly she feels like winter is coming. She's cold and tries to grasp the blanket from the bottom of the bed. It's too cold, why? She opens her eyes and looks up carefully. Her room had disappeared and she found herself in a hayloft, its roof is made up of large wooden girders that support the weight of the tiles. She can also see some bales of hay all around her and feels the cool temperature of the air. Then Olivia moves in her own bed and finally gets the blanket and pulls it over her shoulders. Now she's warmer and better. She closes her eyes, so disturbed and not sure that it’s all a dream. After all, her eyes were wide open while she was looking at the wooden roof and the hay bales. New York - Old City - 11.37AM - 318 West 16th Street Olivia is walking along the street down to 8th Avenue, lost in thought. All of a sudden, she realizes something around her is changing. The air seems to become heavier as a sort of thin invisible fluid where she hardly can walk. It's like a vision in the desert when the heat makes you see strange movement in the air, like a mirage, an optical illusion. But the coach drawn by six horses is not an illusion and she becomes aware of it just in time to jump aside. The coachman, dressed in a heavy black cloak and a stovepipe hat, shouts something to her, but she can't understand because she gets back to her usual view of the street in a few seconds. Olivia is unsure about what happened. For a moment she was in the nineteenth century New York and a moment later she was back here in 2011. She's confused and stops for a moment on the sidewalk, near the traffic lights. She had hardly ever been so astonished about events, but she immediately gets it that this is a Fringe event for sure. She has to go to the Fringe Division, and call the Secretary. Well, maybe it's better to speak to her boss, before calling the Defense Department. “Let's move Olivia” she thinks and she moves on. After a while she feels the same sensation again. Her visual perception becomes difficult and the air is getting thick again. No coach this time, only a giant airship standing still in the New York sky. In a moment, out of the corner of her eye, she notices someone losing something: a reddish-golden coin rolling on the sidewalk and then stopping near her feet. It's a really strange half-dollar coin, a shape and type she had never seen before. She crouches and picks it up. A sort of frightening sensation takes possession of her when she realizes that on the head side of the coin Peter's hairless head is shown. Olivia, shocked, walks back to the car to get to the Fringe Division.
