These Patriotic Rice Krispie Treat Pops are a fun and delicious way to celebrate any patriotic occasion. They feature the classic Rice Krispies treat with a red, white, and blue twist, perfect for Independence Day or other patriotic celebrations.
Ingredients: 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal. 1/4 cup of unsalted butter. 1 package 10 oz of marshmallows. Red food coloring. Blue food coloring. 12 wooden popsicle sticks. 1 cup of white chocolate chips. Red, white, and blue sprinkles.
Instructions: Heat the unsalted butter in a big microwave-safe bowl for 30 seconds, or until it's completely melted. When the butter is melted, add the entire package of marshmallows to it and microwave for a further one to two minutes, stirring every thirty seconds, or until the marshmallows are smooth and fully melted. Place the three equal portions of the melted marshmallow mixture in different bowls. To achieve the desired patriotic colors, add a few drops of red food coloring to one bowl and blue food coloring to another bowl. Stir. To each colored marshmallow bowl, add two cups of Rice Krispies cereal and stir until the cereal is coated evenly. With haste, form a ball out of a tiny handful of the red Rice Krispie mixture around a wooden popsicle stick to create the red base of your treat pop. Leaving some room for the white section, repeat with the blue mixture. Make a white layer on top of the blue layer using the leftover white Rice Krispie mixture, making sure to leave room at the top for the white chocolate dip. Make sure the popsicle sticks stay in place by firmly inserting them into the center of each treat pop. Melt the white chocolate chips in 30-second increments in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth. Coat each pop treat halfway through by dipping it into the melted white chocolate. Let the extra chocolate fall off. Before the melted white chocolate solidifies, scatter the red, white, and blue sprinkles over it. To cool and fully set, place the Patriotic Rice Krispie Treat Pops on a tray lined with parchment paper.
