These Salted Caramel Apple Pie Cookies are the perfect combination of apple pie and cookies, with a delightful gooey caramel center and a hint of sea salt for a delicious sweet and salty treat.
Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened. 3/4 cup granulated sugar. 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed. 1 large egg. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1 cup chopped apples peeled and cored. 1/2 cup caramel sauce. Sea salt for sprinkling. Cinnamon sugar for sprinkling.
Instructions: Warm your oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on a baking sheet. Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt together in a medium-sized bowl using a whisk. Melt the butter and mix it with the white sugar and brown sugar in a large bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix them in well. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ones one at a time and mix just until everything is combined. Add the chopped apples and mix them into the cookie dough until they are spread out evenly. Take tablespoonfuls of dough and slightly press them down on the baking sheet that has been prepared. Use your thumb or the back of a spoon to make a small hole in the middle of each cookie. Place a teaspoon of caramel sauce in each hole. Add a little sea salt to the cookies that are filled with caramel. After the oven is hot, bake the cookies for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden. After taking the cookies out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet. Then, move them to a wire rack to cool all the way down. Put some cinnamon sugar on top of the cookies after they have cooled down to make them taste even better. Have fun with these tasty Salted Caramel Apple Pie Cookies!
