Do Unto Others [redxwitch/thepoorkidinaparka]
It wasn’t like he didn’t feel guilty. He was supposed to be an adult now, right? He shouldn’t be helping a kid pee in the holy water.
“Desecration,” the priest called it. He didn’t even have to investigate. The prank was so distinctly Ken that he took one look at the bowl and glared at him. Not that he has done such a thing since he was a kid, but whatever. The old bastard knew. Maybe Jesus told him.
He crossed his arms and stared out the window. The kid was waiting out in the hall, and his mother was coming to meet them.
“Hey, can’t I go? I didn’t even do anything!” He complained.
The priest rolled his eyes. “You have to explain what happened to her. It will eat at your conscience if you don’t.”
“You say that like I have one.”
He laughed like Ken was kidding. “Trust me. It will make you feel better.”
