Honeymoon in Japan (a headcanon)
- They had planned for this moment almost since the day they met. Both sets of eyes were wide as they took in the sights before them. Japan was lit up with s thousand lights and huge screens took up every side of every building - The cherry blossoms were one of their favorites. Picnics every day underneath the trees, Justin trying to be romantic and ending up flinging grapes at Sutan, and then it becomes a game to see how many grapes they can catch in their mouths. - Justin gets too excited when they’re at the top of the observatory, leaning out over the rail to see down to the ground. Sutan lets out a little yelp and yanks him back, telling him to be careful, and Justin just laughs and wraps his arms around his husband, promising to be more careful next time (they both know he’s lying but it’s okay) - Sharing an umbrella when the rain comes, hand in hand as they walk down the street. Puddles in every corner and soon enough, Sutan abandons the refuge provided by the umbrella, instead opting to jump in every spot that has water, sending splashes everywhere. The umbrella is all but forgotten when Justin joins him under the streetlight, and they press close together as they dance to some tune that only they can hear. That is, until Justin pulls back to see his new husband’s face smiling and he can’t resist taking his hands and smoothing Sutan’s hair back, practically dripping from the rain, and holding him tenderly as he plants a soft kiss on his lips. -Their hotel room was at the top of a skyscraper-at least, that’s what it felt like as Justin looked out the window, eyes wide at the sigh of so many buildings and lights and he feels his heart swell with something he’s still getting used to when he feels Sutan’s arms wrap around him from behind, a whispered, “come to bed” in his ear, and he shivers. -There is nothing but the sound of their heated whispers as their bodies move together under the silvery moonlight. Justin holds Sutan close, never letting more than a couple inches separate them, and when it’s over, he curls himself around Sutan’s body from behind, wrapping an arm around his waist, and he presses his lips to Sutan’s ear to whisper, “you’ll always be my pretty boy”. The two of them fall asleep to the sound of each other’s heartbeat, and the last thing Justin recalls is the glint of silver on his left finger, and he knows it’ll be there forever. -thirty years later, Justin sits on the sofa of their shared home, flipping through a photo album entitled “Honeymoon in Japan” and he smiles to himself, hearing the sounds of his husband in the kitchen and he decides that he hasn’t made the love of his life blush nearly enough today, and so he pads off toward the other room with his album in hand.
