W Olson Avenue, Reedley, California.
Possibly the realest thing I’ve experienced in my whole life.
Downtown Reedley had a combination barber shop/museum with a busy exterior (as I was taking the pictures, somebody from inside yelled for me to come in, but I was scared) and a Quetzalcoatl mural. Also, several thrift shops, one of which had an impressive candle section. And finally, a terrifying animatronic gorilla that was supposed to get you to come to a car wash for some reason. I had to pull in to the parking lot to see whether it was a robot or a person in a gorilla suit, the latter of which would have been cruel on a hot summer day.
Take a quick peek at Small Town California on Sunday.
