FINALLY got about 20 degrees. I forgot how challenging exposing phots in the snow is - the extra light makes backlighting a lil weird.

Just some pictures of fireworks I took recently. Some of them suck but oh, well.
Help, I accidentally bought a camera on ebay again, this is the third time this has happened
So, uh, a month or so ago I won a mini grant for my photography. It was really unexpected, but I was and am so happy to have won and it was nice to see the notes from the judges who appreciated my work. Part of the plan for the grant is to have a showing sometime between now and next year-ish which means I have to do something I’m really bad at.
Choosing things that other people like vs what I think is cool. 🥲
It’s especially hard when I can’t really judge it on online reactions to my photos because my photo Instagram is dead af and the only photos of mine that ‘do well’ here on my side blog are abandoned places aesthetics. 💀
Soooo, would you folks be ok with doing a mini judge panel for me at some point? I’ll do it with the poll options so it will be anonymous, but it would require you looking at photos rather than art. It will also be tagged appropriately so you can avoid them if you’d like. Does this sound ok, or would you prefer I don’t?

I pulled out all my camera shit (this isn't actually all of it) for national photography day or whatever the hell it is, and all I accomplished was making a big mess.
I actually wanted to see what other adapters I needed to get for some random old lenses to play with, but I'm now preoccupied with figuring out how to fit my OLD old FUBAR dropped-in-the-swamp macro EF-S lens on my current (EF) camera body. I want to take moldy grungy photos with it, or at least attempt to. There are no adapters due to mirror positioning issues, but someone said you can pry the plastic baffle off the lens mount and do some janky shit to make it work. The lens is trash otherwise, janky is fine.
