The chill of Halloween night suddenly struck you as you made your way up to the stranger's door. You knock lightly on the wood and step back slightly to wait for the special treat you were about to be given. Your head turns back at your boyfriend who stood off to the side, numbly biting his thumbnail as he stared at the floor with lack of interest. "Aho, c'mere!" You shout in a whispered manner with a bright smile on your face. Aomine looked over at you before rolling his eyes and tearing his thumb away from his mouth. He took his place next to you, just before an old woman had opened the door. "Trick or treat!" You shout gleefully and hold out your pillowcase for your much awaited first candy of the night. The frail woman smiled warmly and held out her hand that had been spilling with little chocolates. "Well, don't you two look cute!" She complimented your coupled-vampire costumes with a gentle grin. You immediately beamed at her flattering remark and quickly thanked her. Aomine continued to shift his weight on each leg with hands in his pockets, attempting to look elsewhere by staring at the carved pumpkins set on the floor. You nudge him with your elbow and he instantly halts his actions to look at the old woman. "Thanks," He says normally with another bored expression. A small sigh escapes your lips when she gives him a handful of candy before sending you two off with a "Happy Halloween". The only time Aomine gave any hint of emotion was when he finally received his treats. It pissed you off quite a bit. "If you're going to act like that, you shouldn't have even came," You snapped at your ill-mannered boyfriend for acting so disinterested. Angry steps took you to the house next door to receive more of the delicious candy. "Hah? I said thank you," Aomine grumbled at your comment and raced ahead of you to the doorstep. His vampire cape swished behind him, leaving you alone in the driveway. You fight back a groan and hurry to meet Aomine at the door that was already being opened. "Trick or treat!" You enthusiastically cheer as Aomine follows it with a mono-toned "yeah". You send a quick glare his way and return your gaze happily to the stranger holding a large, single chocolate bar. "Happy Halloween!" You call out while leaving the house to obtain some more treats. Aomine followed close behind you, smirking and softly chuckling at the chocolate he just received. "See? This is the stuff people should hand out. Not all that mini version bullshit," He tells you while holding up the large Twix bar. You had to admit with your own personal opinion that he was right, but his greediness annoyed the hell out of you. Dismissing your now guilt-filled opinion and remorse for agreeing with him, you called out your boyfriend for completely missing the point of receiving the gifts. "Maybe you should be a little more grateful you're getting any at all," You snap and continue to look ahead when walking. You start to skip out on all the houses that weren't decorated or the ones that had a note stuck to the door. Without reading them, you already knew it said that they didn't have candy. Aomine clicked his tongue at your remark before answering."You're the one who dragged me out here with this stupid costume." He began walking next to you and bent down slightly to open his mouth and reveal the realistic fangs in a mocking manner. You meet his gaze with angry eyes, but quickly soften your expression when you notice how cute he actually looked. Aomine's blue hair had been ruffled slightly like normal and his skin had remained it's same tanned color due to his refusal to paint it grey for the vampire look. He held the fangs inside his mouth followed by fake blood that looked as if it was seeping from his vaguely bloodied mouth. He was adorned with a vampire costume with a jet-black cape that flowed whenever wind struck. All your hard work putting Aomine together like this had paid off. He looked extremely sexy as a vampire. You decided not to start another arguement with him, so you choose to play your boyfriend a bit. Pulling on his white cravat, you give him a sly smile before responding. "Would you rather have been a police officer and have me as your prisoner?" Inside your tone lurked a touch of tease. Aomine's eyes immediately light up and the corners of his mouth lift into a mischievous grin. He was obviously dreaming of the more...lewd things involving the costumes. "Sicko," You shove Aomine when his face gives away his crystal clear thoughts. A small chuckle rumbles in his chest as he grabs your hand and continue to walk for some time. The two of you gain more handfuls of candy and chocolate, until you reach a row of dim houses. "Hey, there hasn't been any lit up houses..." You mumble with a confused expression. Something about the current atmosphere outside made you feel a little scared. Your grip on Aomine's hand tightens a bit as you look around your surroundings. "Relax. Maybe they do have candy?" Aomine suggests and leaves your hand empty to run up to one of the dark houses. "H-hey!" You shout and chase after him. The mood of the night settled in and it made you too uncomfortable to be alone right now. You quickly meet up with Aomine and spot a bowl resting on the doorstep. The blue-haired boy bends down to read the note placed next to the bowl. "Take two," He reads carefully. You reach out to take a couple candies grouped up inside of the bowl, until Aomine grabs the entire thing. "What are you doing?" You question him with an irritated look. You grab his hand to stop him but he shakes you off. Aomine dumps the bowl's contents into his pillowcase before placing it back on the floor. "What the hell?! It said two, dumbass!" You barked at him, raising your hand to smack the side of his head with a thump. He makes a noise and begins to cradle his head while rubbing it softly with his fingers. "It's not like anyone else is coming!" He shouts at you as he walks off towards the sidewalk. A groan escapes your lips, feeling your annoyance continue to bubble up inside. You weren't expecting this Halloween to be full of trying to contain a sixteen-year-old like he was a rowdy five-year-old. "You're an ass, Aomine." "Shut up." Rolling your eyes, you open your mouth to snap a snide remark when suddenly, a wet drop hits your face. You reach your hand forward for it to be hit with another raindrop. "It's raining," You tell Aomine with a defeated look. He looks down at your sour expression before looking up to the midnight colored sky. His forehead is struck with a raindrop as conformation. "Let's take the route back and hit a couple houses," You spoke dully. You were upset you had to start heading home so soon. After waiting in anticipation for Halloween to finally arrive, you were going to come back crushed with so little candy. Aomine noticed your fallen expression and started to feel a bit sorry for you. He knew how excited you were to enjoy this holiday with him. Being let down so easily like that made Aomine question what he could do to cheer you up. After some time, the mood remained quiet, even after visiting a few houses for treats. The rain had started to fall down a bit heavier, but it still remained as small, cold droplets. "We're almost home," Aomine pipes up to break the silence. He finds himself staring down at your figure as if he were waiting for you to respond in some way. A breeze came over the two of you, managing to spread the rain across both of your faces. A chill runs down your spine as you shiver unintentionally. "You cold?" Aomine questioned you quietly. You nod slightly, eyes still looking forward. You feel an arm wrap itself around your shoulder and you're brought closer to Aomine's side. Enveloped inside the warmth of his cloak, you circle one arm around his waist and hang on tightly like a koala. This makes Aomine half-grin at your adorable action. He throws his sack of candy over his shoulder and holds you closer to his body, embracing the warmness it gives him. You feel something drop against the top of your head. At first, you believe it to be yet another raindrop, but it soon dawns on you that it was a sudden action from Aomine. He kissed the top of your head affectionately. A pleasant smile finds its way onto your lips, adoring the cute action you received from the "I'm-too-cool-for-romantic-actions" Aomine. The two of you finally arrive at your house with aching feet and wet faces. Depsite what had happened, you enter the house with a twinkle of happiness. Although Halloween got rained out too soon, you were still happy with the affection you got from Aomine. "Get ready," You hear him order you from your bathroom. You can't help but to laugh a little bit, knowing he was already wiping off the fake blood from his mouth and chin. "What for?" You ask him as you meet him in the bathroom. You glance down at his face from the mirror. He stands up and reaches for a towel to wipe his dripping mouth. "I'm taking you to the store," He announces moodily, acting as if it were obvious. You raise your eyebrows in confusion and before you could question him, Aomine cuts you off. "Wasn't enough candy, right? I'll buy you some," He states cooly with a hint of a smirk. You knew his cockiness was going to get the best of him when he realized how happy the idea made you. Smiling up at him, you stand on your tippy-toes before giving him a swift peck on the lips. "Then, I'm going like this," You happily added, beaming up at your tall boyfriend. His expression instantly faltered in annoyance and walked past you to go change himself. "No, you don't!" You shout and grab his arm, roughly dragging him away from your bedroom. "____!" "We gotta go like this!" "At least let me take my fangs out, idiot!" "Nope!" Although your requests seemed over-demanding to Aomine and there were a few minor setbacks, he couldn't help but to admit that it was the best Halloween he's had and that he's glad he spent it with his favorite girl. And not Momoi for once
