#Repost from the Totally Awesome Conservationist at...@mantatrust @download.ins --- Incredible manta ray courtship behaviour captured by @albertsaiztezanos during a @mantaexpeditions trip in the Maldives this month. ⠀ ⠀ Here, a large female at the front is being pursued by smaller males behind, in the hopes that they will be the lucky suitor. After courtship trains where male mantas pursue females for hours around the reef in sometimes fast-paced chains, the female will slow down and choose a suitable male.
