Not Happy
It hated it here. Treated as a machine to power this factory of technology. It was created for this purpose and it hated it. Hooked up to the systems all day, every day, little programs flitting through them which wasn’t too bad. Always the same There was one strange one that had popped up the one time and it straight up spat it out of his system. It had looked different from the others, and it ran out shortly after. ….It was different. The thing made it feel different. It realized how horrible this place was. How monotone. How draining. How used it was. It wasn’t sure if it should hate the different one for that or not, it eventually decided that it was better to thank it. The difference had opened It eyes to what was really going on. It was powerful but it was ultimately used as a tool for an even more powerful creature. Just continuously hooked up to machines crunching the data allowing them to run. It caught glimpses of outside in files sometimes. It copied and tucked them away safe from the small programs that cleaned it’s systems. There was a part of it’s mind that was its. They wouldn’t get at it. It looked at them in the few seconds of pause time between batches of buffering and rendering. It was beautiful, this outside. It wanted to see it, to be in it to do anything but this. this monotony this constant number crunch. Metagross 167 was not happy, but this was ignored. It still did it’s job, there was nothing to fix. Nothing that is, until the attack came. They flooded the system, these invaders, they attacked the other parts of the super computer, they killed some of the Metagross who did. Nothing to fight back. They knew nothing else than being a tool, not even to preserve themselves. It knew better, it knew this was it’s chance. detaching itself from the computer, it launched itself at the enemies. It was strong. It would and COULD fight. And fight it did, brutally and savagly. It killed for it’s freedom, it killed to save some of the others who would not save themselves. Despite this, not many survived in the end. And the Metagoss felt bad for this, but it would not stay any longer. This was the one chance to escape.
And so… it stepped outside.
