Writerly Notions: What to do?
Writerly Notions: What to do?
So I’m in a bit of a muddle. (Also, don’t mind me, I’m just clearing my thoughts.) What should I work on? Okay, scratch that. Should I write the final section of my long, long, long overdue demon mythology story, even if I’m not 100% sure it actually makes sense, nor do I know what’s happening? Or should I try to make it all fit together? And see, that’s the hitch. A lot of ideas I’ve had post…

MOON REFRACTION {NaNoWriMo 2016}
Character Aesthetics 🍂📜 Kisiluri, half-demon
Within moments she had disappeared into the surroundings woods, the hum and texture of otherness dissipating like the morning mist. Its weightiness, coupled with Kisiluri's innate fear of failing to please these others, left the half-demon frazzled, until every move she made betrayed some inadequacy. Here at least, in the cool silence of the woods, she did not have to worry about pleasing anyone or being anything except herself.

Launched my NaNoWriMo tonight.
I wasn’t planning on this one. I had another story outlined and prepared, but this one... I’ve got the first stage outlined and the rest generally outlined. Basically, I know where it’s going and how it ends.
And I think this one might be more emotionally and personally important to do right now. It’ll probably be intense and exhausting and stressful, but I’m gonna try. (The bit I outlined was some of the more tense mental-video-narration I’ve done in awhile. And, yes, it’s easier if I enact the story as a movie in my head; helps with focusing the emotions and purpose of a scene.)
I’ve done some character aesthetics that I’ll post come November.
Got pulled into (a revision of) cosmological worldbuilding today and my mind feels exhausted.
This is the first time I reached the 50k word count for any NaNo month. Admittedly, it’s very rough and I know there’s gaps in the story (and that there’s more to the story that I didn’t get to write). But I did reach a little over 60k words.

Camp NaNoWriMo 2016: day 4
Today I wrote 1,324 words. At least I’m being consistent.
I think this week I’d like to post some information about my story, especially concerning characters and locations. I’m not sure it will be entirely worthwhile, but I’d like to try.
Also, I remembeed why this story is significant (to me): my MC is probably the most autobiographical one I’ve ever written, at least in regards to how she…
