So I went Walk the dog and there's a forest beyond my house. so it's night time and I'm walking towards the forest. Cause that's my usual route like loop. Run house well this time as I was walking towards the forest which was pitch black. By the I hear a Dollish. voice call out to me. And I was like the f*** and I turned the other way. And when I went back inside and I asked my mom Did you call out to me And she said no And I was like oh F*** that Usually throughout the day I'll go in the forest to dance because I like To do that and I Always felt like something was watching me.But I always Thought that It was just paranoia or maybe it was like some cute farmer. Boy and that 1 day he would ask if he could dance with me. But this entire time I was f****** demons. F*** that nymphs in the f****** trees and s*** nah.
Writerly Notions: Stress & Focus
Writerly Notions: Stress & Focus
This morning I spent a few hours calibrating and analyzing what causes me stress and my stress levels. Or more specially “needling things that send me into a mental whirlwind panic/confusion.” I won’t go into the details. Suffice to say, the categories of Creator, Writer, and Promotion feed off one another to create the highest levels of stress and the highest amount of stress. Additionally, as…

I don’t think I ever realized how much the conventional Western view of demons is…really foreign to me.
The idea that there is an underground realm of fire and brimstone where demons exists is completely bizarre because underground, in my mind, is the chthonic world: glittering flowers, luminous mushrooms, ink dark water, mere-spiders, radiant crystals, palaces, gardens, serpents, dark caverns, rainbow gleaming rivers.
The idea that there is a hierarchy of demons is less bizarre but, in my mind, that’s more a societal aspect, the way it exists in human kingdoms than anything to do with religion (except insofar as religion plays a role in demon culture as it would in human culture).
The idea that demons are inherently evil is really bizarre because that’s like saying wolves are evil because they have to kill other animals to live.
Basically, when I think “demon” the words that come to mind are: moon, wood, blood. And if your idea of a demon doesn’t include all those words as being integral to their cultural identity to varying degrees, I probably won’t completely understand your idea of demons.
I’m not entirely sure where I should post this, but I wanted to say that yesterday I finished a novel, which I’d been working on and off for quite awhile.
Does it still needs lots of editing? Yep. Is some of the writing more summary and/or outlined? You, bet! But the entire thing is actually -- finally -- done. I can start thinking about structure and revision and tone, etc.
(remember what I working on for my Every Single Day Challenge #1? This was it)
Story Aesthetic 🌒 Wild Moon, White Tree
Crisp, celestial winds billowed around the frail, ivory tips of the Tree’s massive branches. Grown hundreds of moon-spins ago, its luminous bark matched the bold full-face of the Moon. Taking a deep breath, she inhaled the frigid aroma of the space beyond the branches; a faint stony fragrance that, when it slipped under her tongue, reminded her of star-blood.

Camp NaNoWriMo 2016: day 4
Camp NaNoWriMo 2016: day 4
Today I wrote 1,324 words. At least I’m being consistent.
I think this week I’d like to post some information about my story, especially concerning characters and locations. I’m not sure it will be entirely worthwhile, but I’d like to try.
Also, I remembeed why this story is significant (to me): my MC is probably the most autobiographical one I’ve ever written, at least in regards to how she…

Okay, so
I signed up for Camp NaNoWriMo. So that’s a thing I’ll be doing next month.
I’m going to try not to excessively plan this out. I know how it ends and I know what the big reveal is, and who the antagonist is, and I know where I want the plot to go, and I know who the major characters (thus far) are. But I’m going to let it have a little room to wriggle around.
The last time I wrote like this (backwards-style) was the first complete story I ever wrote, so I feel positive about this approach.
