European Reformation Research Group conference 2019
I had a fantastic time at the 2019 ERRG conference over the last couple of days! I've had the privilege of hearing some phenomenal papers on a range of reformation related topics from across Europe, spanning over 300 years of history! I can't wait to dig into the recommendations I sneakily gathered from the panelists and I look forward to exploring a plethora of new questions the speakers have prompted.
I was particularly intrigued by Dr Jonathan Willis' paper on mental illness and the disruption caused by the reformation during the Elizabethan period. He posed a few questions that could have some implications for my own research around melancholia and spiritual anxiety. I can't wait for the completed project and to see the rest of the letters he's discovered for this project!
I had a wonderful time and I can't wait to go back and hopefully present at ERRG 2021!
