A little Dominican culture & my URL
Today is the day of our independence, so why not celebrate it by sharing a tiny bit of my country, I think the thing I have gotten ask the most is what does my url mean, most recently by two of my friends @aerothoughts and @shenken.
Refresco is a way of calling soda in spanish, here refresco de sabores “flavor” soda is a thing and very dominican at that, they don’t taste like any other and honestly are probably not safe, lol.
Look refrescos! and a cotorra, that is a bird endemic of the island!!!
They are, in the order of the picture, refresco rojo (red) is meant to be “raspberry” flavor, merengue (I don’t even know if is suppose to be meringue or merengue the dance, is a very particular flavor), refresco de uva (grape soda), naranja (orange), ughhh ignore that green travesty at the back, I know some of these flavors exist in other places but they are very different.
Refresco rojo is my favorite!!!! It’s one of my favorite things in the world!!!
