RefreshReview: AdMobilize

The sixth and final presenter at the last Refresh Miami event at the Lab Miami was AdMobilize. AdMobilize is an ad network for the offline world.  With custom hardware for your car or an iPad to wear in a t-shirt or backpack, AdMobilize places a digital ads on you as you go through your daily routine. As a walking and driving ad unit you will get monthly checks in the mail based on your activity and exposure. The current rate is an average of $100 a month for the car and $5 per hour for the iPad.

As an advertiser you can view live maps of where your ads are being displayed, you receive screen shots every minute from the moving devices so you can see what they see, and you get analytics as you run specifically targeted campaigns around the country or even the world. AdMobilize is changing the way advertising is done, making people billboards.

RefreshReview: Geopon

The fifth presenter at the last Refresh Miami event at the Lab Miami was Geopon. Geopon is a location aware mobile application that combines localized coupons, weekly ad, loyalty ads, and more. Everyone loves coupons but not everyone loves cutting them out and carrying them around. Mobile couponing is quickly growing and Geopon differentiates themselves from the competitors by focusing on signing up a majority of businesses a specific area and really tapping into geo-location. Using your phone's GPS location Geopon provides push notifications when you walk by a store that is currently offering a coupon via the Geopon service. Merchants sign up to find new customers and to get better RIO analytics then print coupons.

RefreshReview: HulaDrive

The fourth presenter at this last Refresh Miami event at the Lab Miami was HulaDrive. HulaDrive is a local cloud storage company who own their own servers and offer storage at a much lower rate then their large competitors. According to the video above they are offering 20GB of cloud storage for only $20 a year.

RefreshReview: Pack App

The third presenter at the latest Refresh Miami event at the Lab Miami was Pack App. This iPhone only app imports your Facebook events and provides a feedback and content timeline within the Pack App for that specific event. Everyone using Pack at the event can submit photos and feedback which post live for everyone to follow along. The event host can create challenges where people win prizes as the complete to take photos of specific things, answer questions, or share the event on their social networks. Sponsored challenges is a great idea to enhance interactive marketing at any event. I could see this as a great tool for conferences and festivals.

RefreshReview: SpendLO

The second presenter at this last Refresh Miami event at the Lab Miami was SpendLO. SpendLO is a company who takes the Priceline, "name your own price", model but applies it to everyday services in your local area. If you need a mover, a painter, or a house cleaner, this service will allow you to choose the service you are looking for, determine the specifics for the job, then name your own price. Local pre-qualified service providers will bid for your business using SpendLO. SpendLO makes their money by taking a 10% service feed for the overall cost of the transaction. With the right flow of customers and service providers this seems like a great concept for just about everyone.
