Okay, I made this little hand orientation ref for me and lyenuv cuz we both have trouble figuring out hand/thumb positioning sometimes. Cuz seriously, hands are a pain D: It took me forever to come up with a good way to track where the thumb goes in a drawing. So here's a very quick and dirty ref to help keep track of the way a hand can be oriented. Pay no attention to the proportions because they are terrible. I just wanted to get the basic point across.
I hope someone else out there finds this helpful! Hands are not the easiest thing to draw, even for skilled artists. I can't tell you how many times I've drawn backwards hands on my characters >__> If anyone ever needs help figuring out how to orient hands on their characters, I'm always happy to redline :)
