–– is that ADRIA ARJONA? no, its actually EMMA VANITY! according to HER old hogwarts records, they are a TWENTY-SEVEN year old FORMER SLYTHERIN. they are back at hogwarts because they are working against lord voldemort and they believe in the light. that explains why they are so FRIENDLY and PROTECTIVE. but i’ve found that they can also be RUTHLES and INTENSE, so i guess people can’t be all good! they always reminded me of THE SMELL OF BROOMSTICK POLISH, THE FEELING OF ALWAYS HAVING TO PROVE YOURSELF, FRESH CUT FLOWERS AND CALLOUSED HANDS. i heard from albus dumbledore that they are currently working as SECURITY FOR HOGWARTS & HOGSMEADE. let’s hope that they have time to fight the dark alongside their work!

BACKGROUND:
emma is a pureblood witch, though not from one of the particularly impressive pureblood houses. her family has always existed firmly in the middle, never taking too firm a stance in any direction.
she has a brother who is a squib, which is one of the main reasons that her family does not fully side with the dark. she loves her brother more than anyone else and will do anything to protect him, and this has been true since she was a child.
emma walked that same middle line in school, but she eventually did grow a thicker skin and start putting on a tougher act around her classmates. this was necessary to get any respect as a quidditch captain from the slytherin team, in which most of the boys were angry that a girl got chosen as captain over them, especially at a quite young age.
emma was a prefect as well as quidditch captain from her fifth to her seventh years at hogwarts.
after she graduated she got scouted by the hollyhead harpies and began playing quidditch professionally, making quite a name for herself. she had actually been ignoring the growing political tensions for a great deal of time as it rarely seemed like it would affect her. her brother however was much more interested and prompted her to take a more proactive stance.
when voldemort came to power fully emma knew that she couldn’t stand by and do nothing anymore. it was clear that voldemort was going to come for muggle born wizards and witches, and that he would not appreciate the presence of squibs in a pureblood house like the vanity’s and would want them to get rid of him.
their family fled to scotland like so many others did to live as refugees in hogsmeade. they have built a small house for themselves on the outskirts of town and often take other people in for short periods of time.
