#refurbishgoals2020 part two. There it is, not perfect but looks ok. We did not finish this in one sitting. We had to call it a night and continue the following day. 🤣😂

I'm grateful that this area has been improved. The whole flat is still a work in progress as there are areas for improvement still.

It's certainly a huge improvement compared to when I started the project. 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 #grateful #blessed

#refurbishgoals2020 in two parts. It took a while to save up and plan for this, but it happened in November of this corona year. Another area has been improved. Yey! I will post the before and after on part two of this post.

First, a review. We've liked SanYang furniture. This one, however, not so much. It's made in China, unlike most made in Malaysia DIY shelves. The diagram didn't help much at all. Luckily, someone posted a YT video on assembling this. Watching it helped a lot!! 👍🏼👍🏼

At the end of the day, I'm just glad for this improved area. There remains a lot more to be worked on indeed!

#refurbishgoals2020 I totally forgot to post this here as an update to my ongoing declutter & refurbish project. I started it December of 2018, documented my monthly achievements in 2019, and then the corona year came. 😑😑😑

Well, like most folks, I had to deal with two and a half months of no income too. It was a struggle, but thankfully, I did have a bit of emergency fund as back up. Whew! I'm still trying to get back on track. But life has to go on. My project goes on too, but a bit slower than before.

This was in August. I updated my FB album with it, but somehow I forgot to add it here for documentation.

That's the "before" photo of this area that we got to clear out. 😊😊 I'd say I'm pleased with the results.

Next time, I will share another refurbish project that I got to accomplish this weekend. 😉👍🏼 till then.. Ta-tah!

#refurbishTuesday a couple of weeks back I shared a #declutterTuesday post wherein I have cleared out this area. Well, two Sundays ago, we were able to assemble this shelf organizer to hold some of the other books that are waiting for their new home. We have since filled it in with some plushies and books.

My declutter & refurbish goal is far from over. A lot of areas still need to be worked on. The delay is caused by my lack of free time to attack the clutter. If only I had more than one day off each week. 😒😒 one step at a time.. A day at a time... Till next week! Ta-tah!

#rcsmonthlyrecap #rcsDecembergoals I'm just thankful that the stressful holidays are over. Congratulations, we all survived it! Happy New Year! Let's all claim that 2020 will be another great year! ^_^

December was truly busy, but we did a scheduled general cleaning some time middle of the month before all the fancy fare started. We were able to remove two huge obstacles from the main living room  area. However, there's still a clutter "islet" that needs to be cleared. Right now, it's composed of stuff that we have narrowed down to keep and find a proper place for. These were the "for later" stuff that we still need to place. Oh boy! It's truly getting tougher each time. But I could see a lot of space improvement already, and I'm glad to be continuing on with my declutter and refurbish goals for this 2020. It's a continuing process, and I won't stop until I have achieved a livable space.

Here's an almost year-end task done.. since we couldn't cover up the cemented area with wallpaper, we just bought a quick spray paint for it. It's not perfect, but we like the patches we made. Anyway, it could later on be hidden by some overhead shelves that we were planning to add for more storage of important stuff. We'll see... onwards to creating more #rcs2020goals.

#Monthlyrecap for #Augustgoals . Another month has gone by. Oh boy! It's so easy to get distracted these days if you don't anchor yourself on some goals. In my case, I draft a to-do list that I revise frequently, depending on time & resources available. Doing DIY refurbishing is no joke! But at least it fits the budget. Plus, I have a hand on the changes that I want done.

August general cleaning pushed through as scheduled. Sink area overhead shelves were removed. I'm replacing the wall with a grid to hang some of the stuff that are cluttering the area. It's a work in progress, as we do have lots of stuff! *shudders*

I've partially added shelves for my planned open wardrobe. More to come I hope.. these stuff are heavy to carry from the store to home!

Time to plan out next month's goals. Till next update... ta-tah! ^_^

#RefurbishTuesday is back this week with an update. Disclaimer: this is a work in progress. I'm still working on lessening the items that make the area look cluttered. The new sink dish drainer is up in place. The grid for the wall is partially installed. I'll need to secure the bottom part. Then move some items up. I suppose I'll just post updates once it has been completed. Till then... ta-tah! ^_^

#Monthlyrecap for #Julygoals . Wow, how time flies indeed! Well, general cleaning planned pushed through during the first week, so we were able to clear a section & transfer the 4-layer organizer to another area.

We've added a Philippine political map as backdrop to track our "travel the Philippines" goal.

That's the old rattan bookcase that was cleared out & cleaned up. It was moved to a new area, still waiting to be filled.

Some sections still need to be worked on. A day at a time... I just need to focus on my #decluttergoals & soon we'll have a brand new look for our tiny flat.
