I experienced a small enlightment

With something that is technically obvious, but sometimes you don't see the simpliest solutions that are right there within the grasp of your hand. Sometimes you just need it pointed out and hear it.

Dwelling into Transformers this year made me realize that in terms of REFUSETale; I'm not exploring its full potential, even if in written form I have the story conclued—but it's not the story itself, it's the worldbuilding. I did come up with a lot of things for this AU but I noticed I still think "too human". Transformers made me notice I should make the culture of the monsters more surreal to ours and "theirs". Again, I know it's not some epic discovery, some can shake their head that I'm a captain-obvious but somehow my brain just never really went about those small details like, I don't know, some sayings/idioms monsters could use, cultural events, even sports, etc.

I still need to grow as a creative and I actually love that. I never want to stop learning.

Important info!

I thought it would be best to address this officially that indeed REFUSETale is on a break currently. Not cancelled, just a break. There's a bunch of reasons behind that; first of all, wish I took frequent breaks from it in the past, because the saying of "too much of anything is unhealthy" really does apply to anything, even the things you love. Breaks now and then would keep my spirits up. That's why it was so easily for me to sink in with TF because it was something new I didn't know I needed. But I want to balance out between the projects I do. And actually do it, not just talk about doing it. I hope to do RT arts still so that helps me to sink back in at a safe pace. Second reason is that I am a bit mentally low from real life frustrations, call it depressive episodes now and again and it's affecting my ability to communicate with my friends and being unable to do some basic life stuff.

But I will resurface. I always do. Always will.

How are you doing with refusetale?

A bit of a break at the moment while I'm getting reference sheets done (Also because of Art Fight), just currently occupied with fam-time, will try to get back on track by the end of the week!

The average and default size for my comic pages is 1600x3000 and the latter varies, depending if I need more space but this size usually does the job!

Hey Natsune, I have two things to ask you:

1. What are the personalities of your interpretations of the fallen children?

2. Can you please make more art of them whenever you have the time?

These are not fundamentally fully established yet.

I will draw more art of them once their reference sheets are finished. Can't tell when exactly that will be but hopefully soon.
