Got an amazing post for y'all today. This one took some diving!

Color chart of the Mata Nui Online Game Character Creation Kit. Work on this was started by Matoran Onknu and later Takuma Nuva

These sprites are very large, so I'll post a read more below. Onknu's account was lost to time, and Takuma Nuva's account doesn't contain very many kits. Refy's account led me to Roablin, the unsung hero of the MNOLG-style Character Creation Kit. This user took the lost work of Onknu and Takuma Nuva and assembled complete sprite kits.

My art advice is to shamelessly trace everything. Pick your favourite cartoon/anime, grab a screenshot of a pose you particularly like, and trace the heck out of it.

Soon enough you'll find that you've memorized the shapes+proportions and you won't need a base anymore!
